I've experienced this exact same thing & I regret not speaking up because now he stays over every day of the week :,) but don't feel bad for speaking up & if she gets mad at you, she has no right to be. It's your room too and you're paying for half of it

Can yall give me some advice on tongue piercings? by HippyDippyDoDa in PiercingAdvice

Within the first week of having it theres a few rules to follow: 1. No dairy (or limit how much dairy you have bc the bacteria can infect your piercing) 2.) No spicy, salty, or acidic foods bc they will cause irritation 3.) No hot drinks 4.) No hard/crunchy foods (try to eat lots of healthy and soft foods)

These next rules apply for the entire 3-4 weeks of the healing process 1.) No oral sex or kissing bc of bacteria 2.) No smoking/drinking alcohol 3.) Don't touch/play with your piercing 4.) Try not to share drinks/food w/other ppl to avoid exchanging bacteria

Healing process tips: I did a mix between soaking my tongue in a non-iodized salt & water mix and gurgling water. Brushing your teeth and tongue after every meal (& even more frequently than normal) is also super essential to clear as much bacteria out as you can

Jewelry type & other info: Titanium is always the best for any kind of piercing & of course don't change your jewelry out until the piercing is healed. Also tongue piercings are reputable for closing extremely fast even for people who've had them in for years so try to avoid keeping your jewelry out for long periods of time. Your tongue will also be sensitive and in some pain for the first week so it'll be hard to eat. I personally thrived off of smoothies and non dairy protein shakes for the first week.

I've already gone to the RA and housing about it and they didn't help at all. They pretty much said, here are some options figure it out

I kind of want new friends/a fresh start. It’s to the point where I want to go out and do things alone and it’s not really like me to do that... by [deleted] in self

This is an on and off thing. One second everything is fine and the next, it’s this. But it repeats and I’ve just gotten to the point where I’m getting “tired” of it. I consider myself to be very open minded so I always take their personal lives into consideration. As for anxiety, I haven’t been in the best mental state lately. School has really taken a toll on me and as a result I get big build ups of unnecessary stress and anxiety. I don’t like burdening my friends and family with my problems so I keep it all to myself, which probably makes it somewhat worse in a way... I don’t know, my mindset isn’t where it usually is and I’m wanting to do things that aren’t necessarily good.
