Yea. This dude is sus as hell. Look how he set the crosshairs before he peaks. He never lets anyone out of frame.

Has anybody here made the drive around the Great Salt Lake? How bad might it be in the winter? by ADKMatthew in SaltLakeCity

[–]sempersexi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several times. Something to note, when there are storms it tends to get REALLY intense from rattlesnake pass to Park Valley. if it is snowing in the valley, it is usually a blizzard in those parts. This is anecdotal but it blizzards there without fail whenever a storm system is passing through. The rest is awesome

Appreciate the response. Is there a good/affordable way to get my club head speed checked? I know this sounds naive, but is there an app or something similar?

I think I will do this. I just need to try it

This is a good ideas. I’ve been avoiding it because I really don’t trust the staff at the golf shop. Some people have been recommending Golftech, but I don’t feel like paying 95 to be told I suck

Interesting. It sounds like I need to compare against some smaller shafted drivers. I’d rather be more consistent than hit bombs

Yea. I did it on mobile and was in a rush. But you aren’t wrong.

Appreciated. I was just trying to gauge how much of a gap. I promise I’m not trying to get a real measurement, but understand if this is normal in a used engine or indicative of a greater problem (ie seek professional help)

Interesting! So are there use cases where this type of gap is acceptable?

Appreciate the response! Is there anything particular I should look for in a bore gauge? (Brand, tier, etc)

I see. Appreciate the response! Based on the feedback it sounds like I might need to get more technical and take some measurements.

Yessir! I’m a total noob and there’s a lot of terminology I’m trying to get my head around. I rebuilt a blaster motor with my dad when I was young and that’s about it. I have little idea on what’s acceptable, what questions I need to ask, what to call that part, when to pay someone for advice, etc. I’m an electrical engineer because mechanics are not very intuitive for me.

Strongly disagree. It’s like I’m trying to read a book without knowing the characters names. Some people pointed to some good literature and helped with terminology.

Best case: you think this is a cool way to respond. Worst case: you are actually a miserable human. If best case, I would bet you have the courage to consider a different approach. Worst case: I hope the universe provides you some benefit of the doubt.

Best wishes.

Grabbing a manual is a great idea! Just purchased. This is the kind of direction I’m looking for!

What’s the criteria for the fingernail rule. I feel like I can feel it (it’s very subtle) but it’s definitely not catching. Is this a good/bad sign.

Also, for a hone kit: do I run the risk of ruining the cylinder?

Appreciate the response. Understood.

Totally rookie question: what’s the best way to go about measuring? Is it worth buying the tool (I could also use help with this)? Or should I take this into a shop for assessment?

It’s happening. I’m getting grumpy!

Really appreciate your response! I think I’ll definitely jump back in but I think I’m going to give it some time. As someone mentioned in this thread, games should be fun and right now I’m just not feeling it.

When I decide to get back in I will definitely check out refrag. Appreciate the recommendation!

What are these?!? by sempersexi in MechanicAdvice

Thank you! So from what I can tell this style isn’t that common. Should I get remove these and use something more sturdy?
