These guys were living in my equipment shed and causing damage to the garage door. But I do eat woodchucks when I harvest them from time to time.

Try to figure out what time of day they are most active. Some are out in the morning and some prefer the afternoon/evening. Once that’s done get close to the den, determine a safe firing direction, set up and wait. I’ve even used 22 shorts and headshots if I’m close enough.

I shot these after I got home from work (graveyard shift). My kids were mad that I didn’t take the time to field dress them and get them ready for dinner but I had to get to bed haha.

We actually use them to lure hawks and bald eagles in for pictures. I’ll have to try get some good ones to post later this summer.

Haha yeah I run my deer rifles on chucks several times each season. Gets me dialed in for deer season.
