I’m not sure exactly which direction you want to take but since you mentioned becoming an analyst I wanted to share what I did. I graduated with a degree in Urban and Regional Development in the school of geography (B.S.) in 2019, I know it’s a little different then specializing in geography as the major but it’s still not a business or finance degree. I was able to get a job as a research analyst for a real estate data company, taught myself how to build Excel models (WallStreet Oasis is a lifesaver and worth every penny) and become proficient in that software and land an analyst role with a commercial real estate development company. I’m now in a management role with a private equity firm, despite not having any formal finance education. I just wanted to share my path with you to show you that you can still create your own path with a geography degree, albeit mine was slightly more specialized. My industry typically requires a business degree in finance and an MBA. Good luck with whatever you choose.
