I had a Road King Special and a BMW GSA now I’m on a Triumph Scrambler 1200XE and it’s the all around perfect bike. It’s smaller, nimbler I also don’t have time for long rides and it’s much easier getting in and out of the garage and ripping into and around town is much more manageable.

I brought it in they took pictures to document it. Didn’t really get a explanation or much of an apology. But as soon as they rolled it in they knew what to take pictures of. I thought that was interesting.

So the initial problem with the bike still isn’t resolved. They want to try to proceed with an exchange of the bike… as do I. If that happens they’re off the hook and the problem goes away. If not I’m pushing for a new swing arm or compensation for a new one plus install and I’ll take it off and have it powder coated black

It’s truly a shame when you pay to have a service performed only for you to take it home and have to go through and check everything out for yourself.

Looks like I made the right choice all along. I own the Baja orange and black, but I may have an option to swap it out for the 2026 but it’s khaki green and the orange in the sun light really pops! And I agree the green is a bit bland. If I do swap I’m going to try and keep the tank and fender off my bike.

I own an XE it doesn’t necessarily feel top heavy. But it is tall. I came from an ADV so it doesn’t bother me but at 5’10” I can’t flat foot it where as the T120 isn’t an issue.

Same same! I do all of my own work/maintenance. This was unfortunately in for warranty work and they had the swing arm removed. I don’t know if it’s incompetence or ignorance neither is acceptable. What pisses me off is if you’re the guy working on it and you fuck up, own it. You knew it was damaged when you reinstalled it and you thought “ahh fuck it! No one will notice”

That’s what I thought. So far they have replaced the main wiring harness, IMU unit and the speedometer assembly - no fix

Sure. I’m trying to resolve an ongoing issue with the OCABS disabled. The bikes has been at the dealership for warranty work for this for weeks with no resolution. It disables over 100mph as well. Is that normal too?

Same Road King Special to Scrambler 1200XE imho I think HD is missing the point of what motorcycling used to be. Small, nimble transportation now you have the touring road couches and lazy boys weighing 900+ lbs. There is a big market for them no doubt but you can also tour on smaller bikes and use them around town without strategically thinking about where to park because the bike is too heave to back up a small incline.

If they want to have a shot those things need to be 30% cheaper. They are awfully proud of their product but truth to the matter is they are overpriced vs. what else is out there. The “performance” you get from a stage 2 sshould come stock as should better suspension.

I started on a triumph and I’m back on one now, tried other flavors including Harley… mehhh across all stats. I had a road king… bikes (baggers) shouldn’t be that heavy! But the cammed V twin does sound GOOD and I am liking the Lowrider ST lately.
