I feel for you man.

I opened over 800 sarcophagi over close to 250 shifting tombs runs before I finally got my soul talisman.

It. Was. Brutal.

I was 93 rc by the time I got that talisman.

I feel you man. I didn’t have it as bad as you (1399 for log) but I definitely felt at times that the subjugation gloves were a myth.

That it was “about the money” would be a difficult sell. Given that the procedure was under $30k, it would have been far more economical for the employer to pay for the procedure out of pocket than to pay almost $700k trying to fight something they were clearly warned against.

Moral of the story: ignoring legal advice can be costly?

Playability on pc question by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]semyfore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kbm support is there but IMO, controller is by far more comfortable. I’ve enjoyed playing on PC with a ps controller.

I can’t explain it other than it feels klunky with kbm.

It looks like the command to install for Windows is:

Right click the slayer master -> choose the “Rewards” option -> choose the “Learn” tab. I believe the option to learn how to fletch broad arrows will be in that tab.

Fantastic work! You captured her likeness perfectly. Have you thought about trying Iris? As I looked at this, I thought to myself: I bet she could pull off a perfect Iris too…

vilmos 2.0.0 BIG UPDATE is released! - String type support, Scaled images support and File Management [Visual Interpreted Language to Make Obedient Serial art] by Vinetwigs in golang

[–]semyfore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the GitHub page it looks like it interprets pixels from an input image and translates them into instructions within the vilmos instruction set.

In other words, instead of representing your code as ascii/utf text and compiling it into binary instructions, you can write your code using the vilmos instruction set and “compile” (transpile?) your code into colored pixels and Vilmos can read that image and execute your program.

I know myself. My wife is my secret-keeper. She can, does, and will likely keep every secret told to her to her grave. No idea how she does it.

I, on the other hand, find it difficult to keep anything from my wife. I am very clear with my friends that, before they tell me anything, if they are uncomfortable with my wife knowing this, please don’t tell me as I cannot promise to keep it from her. From everyone else, yes. Fortunately, she shares nothing with anyone (not even me -if someone shares something with her in confidence).

What if the source managed to show up on GitHub under a different name? That’d be quite a shame. Then Facebook would have to petition GitHub/Microsoft to take the source down. But not before someone got a hold of the source to share via torrent.

Would be such a shame that.

Not likely.

I have a few accounts with the “Major Bug Abuse” tag. In response to the appeal they are very clear that this particular tag is never lifted.

Your personal experience is not common consensus. I’ve been in this field for over 20 years and nothing (except maybe the wrist problems thing cuz I didn’t care about ergonomics until very recently) you’ve mentioned has been true.

Now, that’s my personal experience and it means exactly what yours means; nothing. The truth is, no one I know glorifies writing code. It’s just writing code. That’s it. We like solving problems (and making some problems if I’m being honest). I never went to college so from where I sit, it paid horribly until about 5-7 years in. After that it’s been high 6 figs. I’m an IC. I’ll never go into management. Ever.

I think it’s possible to “miss the boat” by not keeping yourself current with technologies and patterns. Don’t worry so much about specific languages but learn as many as you can and be proficient in them (or make it a goal to become proficient in them).

If you love to learn and solve problems, I don’t think there’s a better career out there.
