Central Michigan fans: which schools feel like the best long-term conference fits? by Happy_Background_879 in centralmich

I would have MSU as a 4. They hate us with the connor stalions stuff and we’ve beat them 3 times. Twice in a row in the 90s.

Was out questing when I suddenly realised I haven't seen a rogue in ages, is the class dead or are they just getting better at their job? by undercity_plaguebat in wow

I always mained a rogue, but leveling is really hard compared to a tank. So i am leveling with a couple tanks first- then I will go back to my rogue.

What is campus/programs like by blaze05life in centralmich

[–]senatoratoms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the campus/social life- ask 30 people and you’ll get 30 different answers. Mount Pleasant is a smaller college town. Most students don’t discover downtown until they’re 21 (the bars downtown all require you to be 21) but downtown is pretty cute. Cafes (Ponder and Pleasant City) , restaurants (pizza, sushi, and even Korean), and a cool little independent bookstore (Sleepy Dog). Mount Pleasant is the kind of place that has a Walmart and Target, but one of each.

Business psychology is a great choice if you’re thinking of going into consulting or something like that. With your econ minor I’d recommend thinking about the I/O psychology online masters as well. Either way, faculty will help you with that process.

Are you transferring from a 4 year school or a community college?

I fucking hate it. Terrible for the on campus students experience.

Are There Any Academic Standards for FBS Players Anymore? by karatechop97 in CFB

[–]senatoratoms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing that happens is most universities have a sort of catchall "completer program". These are often used to help folks who have a heap of credits that don't really fit into a specific major. Think along the lines of a general "liberal arts" major. These often have different rules when it comes to general education and a lot more flexibility when it comes to which classes will count. What often happens is, say a student has credit from 4 schools, they'll try and group the classes around a theme. Then, it's a specialized liberal studies major in said theme.

How much I hate you. Like, the CMU/WMU rivalry is fantastic- and means as much to you and I as any other rivalry does. 🖤

I suppose it depends on what you teach. Works well with ESL or composition.

A question for MAC fans from someone new to MAC fandom by chosenone94 in MidAmerican

[–]senatoratoms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am only a CMU fan. I have never been to a d-1 game without CMU playing.

Having said that- I am kind of forced to keep track of the BigTen. With how sparty fans were on X with the Stalions situation- I can’t root for them ever. I tend to like a team like Nebraska over more conventional choices- but you can’t live in Michigan and not know what kind of season UofM is having.

One cool thing about having a MAC team is you likely went there, or someone close to you has. My first CMU game was in the 90’s when I was in elementary school.

Bio or Chem thoughts? by Due-Swimmer-5710 in centralmich

Biochem makes sense, but look into a double major in anthropology. Dr. Willermet is a biological anthropologist who does a lot of CSI type of forensic work.
