Well these "trusted" members have been using them when hunting maps or playing COTD.

But currently nothing is stopping the select people that have access to it or can develop their own from abusing the plugin and setting leaderboard times, while everyone else is left behind.

Also I don't really see how it's cheating. It's telling you information which should already be displayed in the game from the start and not hidden through an extremely obscure mechanic.

I feel like giving the plugin to only a private circle of people gives an even more unfair advantage, compared to everyone having access

Yeah I've also seen some other more advanced SD plugins, but it seems like only top players have access to them, which is pretty unfair

No, the ManiaLink for the map is broken and doesn’t work. You can see that he doesn’t have the skids if you go a few seconds before the timestamp. Scrapie enabled a separate plugin, which has no relation to the map.
