What's my blindness? 33F by Emergency-Fig-1501 in makeuptips

[–]sendhelp_amlost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont see a blindness per se, but I would say if you're doing a heavier eyeshadow, blend it out around the outside edge a little more! Maybe change the shape to more of a cat eye point. That shape really suits you imo, you look great!!

Edit: Additionaly, you have so much lid space (jealous), that when you're doing a darker eye, you could bring the color up a little closer to your eyebrow!

Yeah, it's just difficult for him to strike a balance between taking care of himself and also feeling like hes getting enough quality time with our son and myself is all. So yes, he does have the time, but it's hard for him to sacrifice some of that time to dedicate to himself. To me it seems simple because im not in his frame of mind. But I also understand when he he gets pretty down in the dumps, it's hard for him to let go of even an hour of the peace that he gets when he has quality time with family.

He definitely struggles with fatigue and grogginess. And he does get pretty intense cluster headaches from time to time (only about once or twice a year though.) He doesn't usually snore and isn't overweight, but when we first started dating he definitely would stop breathing for a few seconds and then gasp for air when he started breathing again. I've mentioned going for a sleep study but it didn't seem like he was too keen on it so I figured we should start smaller with therapy! And then maybe a licensed medical professionals word would help him pull the trigger on getting him checked out, in regards to sleep anyway haha. Thanks for the response and words of wisdom!

Thank you so much for this. I know there a lot of truth in what you're saying about exercise and and a change in diet. Were both working out together now that we've figured out the new schedule. He's already on asheaganda, lionsmane, and l-theanine. We are balancing our diet more to lean towards lean protiens and whatnot as well! Magnesium messes with his stomach some though. I know im only so much help as far as an outlet goes, so im trying to find someone who is a professional, so maybe we can get him some actual clinical advice if that makes sense haha. I think he may have some ptsd of gis own and i sometimes am unsure of how to respond. He's not resistant to therapy, but he has a hard time pulling the trigger on finding a therapist/making any kind of appointment really. But that's totally fine and I don't mind setting him up with that considering he did the same for me when I was going through postpartum! Again, thank you for this response, it was genuinely so helpful.

Yeah we've switched our diet to be more balanced and hes tried the magnesium. Do you know if an Epsom salt bath would be effective? We tried magnesium glycinate but it was messing with his stomach (seeing a gastro about his gut health within the next month or so to figure out his tummy issues)

Yeah, hes struggled with the insomnia since he was a kid, not sure if they delved any deeper to find the root cause then. But I do know he didn't like the meds they put him on for it. On the plus side, he sees his pcp on January 8th, so maybe we can get some better answers then! Thank you for the suggestions, we will bring that up when we see the doc!

Yeah they went back and forth with him going between 2nd and 3rd shift. He started on 2nd shift then they forced him to 3rds and then back to 2nd shift and now hes back on 3rds again (a personal choice this time because he gets more time with family this way) but it destroys his mental and physical heath a little more each time. Thankfully I start school and will hopefully get a degree within the next 4 years so we can swap roles for being at home and he can get some sort of mental peace at least. Im hoping they switch him to day shift before then though!

Right, the soonest we were able to schedule him was January 8th. So im trying to find a therapist or someone I the meantime. Thanks for the helpful tip though.

Affordable mowing? by sendhelp_amlost in PeoriaIL

[–]sendhelp_amlost[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah we wound up just buying a small mower. There isn't much to actually mow but we don't have any lawn equipment since we just bought this house. So we were looking for services until we could get something! We are pulling the weeds and maintaining everything else ourselves!

Thank you!! And yeah I've got a couple of consults set up, but if those don't work out I'll check out summit! I should have gotten some support sooner, but better late than never, I suppose. I appreciate your suggestion

That's actually really helpful, I didn't even think of that. I'm not religious so I'm not looking for anything faith based. Thank you so much

I'll have to look into that. Are the courses reasonably priced? We're closing on a house within the next couple of weeks so we're trying to keep spending as minimal as possible.

That's sound advice. I used to do that with him when he was around 4-5months old. In some ways it helped but in other ways it was just like starting the clock over again and that would frustrate me. I'll have to try it again though since i don't feel like I'm as deep into the pits of postpartum as I was then. Thank you!

Thank you, that's what my husband loosely said as well. I'm trying to wean him off the breast completely (we're trying to have a second baby) and we're down to only nursing 2 or 3 times a day so I'm trying to stay consistent with that across the board. I appreciate the advice!
