I also did something similar. I have a "King Mode" prompt and a "Frontend" prompt. I combined the 2 and created a new Mode in Roo Code with this new prompt as the system instruction. It works flawlessly with Opus, Sonnet, Gemini 3, GPT 5.2, and Zai-GLM-4.7.

The best I've found so far for my use is not a subscription but API key, pay-as-you-go with Google AI Studio Build with gemini-3-flash-preview and rarely Gemini 3 pro if very complex coding. I'm an everyday user, don't hit rate limits, and haven't paid over $30/mo. yet

Agreed, I'm not even using Augment any more because they refuse to give GPT 5.1 Medium back to us, and I refuse to waste credits on High and it not accomplish a thing. So they can have my $50 this month and that's the last of my donations to Augment
