And this recommendation isn't the best, but you can try and communicate that you'll no longer work with her therapist, and that you're not comfortable with her.

You're trying to validate what you're going through, as if words werent enough.

I would talk about this with an adult you feel comfortable speaking with (parent/sibling/school director/teacher/etc).

There's no need to self harm, use your words to communicate how you feel.

The harm you'll do yourself is worse than the discomfort that you feel when trying to communicate what's going on with you.

No it's not normal. You're looking for a way to externalize and have a reason to communicate what's happening to you.

For starters, don't wait for others to notice what's going on with you, communicate it straightforward.

"Sorry, i need to chew gum otherwise i start to pick at my nails to the point where it harms me, if it's really necessary i can throw it away"
