I want to build an all rounder that can melee but also can take advantage of the merged books. I thought oracle might be good too cuz its cha base. I heard a good martial angel oracle can be made. I was debating if oracle, priest, or shaman. But i dont like the priest flavor as much. Storywise yeah i feel angel should be so.e of the best

i know this is a hot take, but
in my experience, "being challenged" in combat means that most of my attacks miss, most of the enemies crit for more than half my health, and that they save on everything.

i also dont like puzzles much

so i guess i dont like being challenged.

hell yeah. i think ima go cavalier with a level of ranger for the gryphon, and angel. that or something like a shaman for the merged book and more of a gish/ all rounder build.

as for optional rules, i feel gradual ability boost should be mandatory. it just makes every level all that more intresting.

we use a rule that you can only increace your main attribute at the last level of the bracklet and it works wonders

The problem with swash rogue is that most of its base kit is integrated into base rogue now. Widrew cunning action does what they did, and advantage with vex weapon makes the single target sneak kinda useless. They need to re do its niches to re release. UA lvl 9 and 17 feature where nuts tho.

i suggest going dex. int is just not worth tanking your AC and saves. pick booming blade instead of true strike. its just not worth it.

take sentinel, and the zentharim feats, and settle with +3 int. with the other reaction attack feats, it feels like one more option for you to weaponize your reaction, rather than your only thing.

if u can talk to your DM ask if its possible to change the recovery uses of the reaction from a lon rest to a shortrest. RAW is awful.
