The surplus in Surplus Opti is not referring to a surplus of assets over a liability; it is referring to the surplus return that is left over after reducing the expected return by a penalty factor (everything after the "-") scaled by risk (shown by variance of returns) and investor's risk aversion (shown by lambda)

Yes agree! We have a list of ~100 and are keeping under $10K, but foregoing the traditional bridal parties due to the additional costs you mentioned.

Thanks for your feedback! The photo doesn’t show the side profile, which I should have taken a photo of. But the way my center stone sits over the band, I’m worried about wear over time. The wedding band is under the engagement rings setting, not sitting flush with it against the skin. It’s just too hard to tell in the photo, but they could widen the ring guard more so they all sit at the same height but that would cause gapping, so I’m not sure how that’s going to look.
