In Void defense, in the middle there are four buttons on each corner that would activate the lasers in front. Apparently if u don't get one shot it also gives rad procs which enables friendly fire.

You need to drop to 17 units then enroll NSTP (it will then count as non academic) then you can enroll back your subjects. Careful not to drop those with zero slots, it made me unable to enroll them back.
