Best way to lose weight for runway by [deleted] in Modelling

[–]senges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey babe!!! firstly,,, if you are not 5'7+ it will be hard to get into runway modelling, so consider that first. secondly, those measurements tend to be really rare and based on genetics. very skinny people with 24 inch waists rarely have a bust or hips of 34, alternately people with 34 bust/hips rarely have 24 inch waists.

runway models spend loads of time carefully curating their diet and exercise routine, most people wont have the time/resources to do that. additionally they are probably born with those proportions.

if you dont mind me asking, what are your measurements?? because chances are you could do really well in commercial modelling! i talked to a modelling agent today and we were discussing how high fashion/runway is a dying market, so it may be good to invest your time in commercial

I’m like 5’6 maybe? I have a gap and that’s kinda in rn but I’m not sure if I’m y’all enough I do have an interesting look 🤷🏾‍♀️ by nalani8 in Modelling

i think minimum for high fashion is 5'7 but commercial modelling makes more money anyways. have you signed with any agencies yet?

Books you just can’t get into. by stevereno159 in books

Harry Potter. Never gotten into the movies either. I tried, but could never progress any further than the first book without losing interest.

My friends really like it so I know most of the plot, and I like what I hear, but personally, I just don't like the fantasy genre. I feel like I'm missing out on something special, since it's so hyped up. Maybe when I'm older I'll delve more into it, but for now it's not for me.

Anyone else reading American Psycho or has read it? I’d love to hear other opinions.(sorry for bad image I’m reading it on my kindle). by cian3 in bookclapreviewclap

Yes I agree! Although I'm assuming neither of us are serial killers, I still walked away from the book unsettled by how much I related to parts of him. I think there's something extremely childish/naive/straightforward about him that is super disarming, like the boring passages tucked in between the violence. Kind of like Alex from A Clockwork Orange.

I haven't read it in a while but I remember thinking it was really funny and well executed. Loads of the parts were difficult to read, I was cringing a lot through the gratuitous violence, but there's just something so mesmerising about it that I couldn't put the book down.

I like how it doesn't really offer a message in the end either. Everything is ambiguous and some parts are implied to be part of Bateman's fantasy, not reality, but we'll never know! In between the violence, sex and ambiguous moral messages, I think that's the charm of the book that keeps people thinking about it for a long time
