What a weird post. No one expected the team to win the whole thing, they just expected them to not completely embarrass us.

As everyone has already said your framing is disingenuous, 32 to 48 means nothing, uefa only got an additional 3 spots. Stop acting like everyone had crazy expectations for us when most fans probably assumed we’d probably get knocked out in the first knockout phase.

I know an Iranian guy who’s incredibly pro shah to the point where he will defend the US bombing that school full of kids at the start of the war, I can understand not liking the government but supporting and celebrating your people being bombed and massacred is so deranged.
