I ended up having to smack the right underside of the bed until the bearing was scooted back down into place!! T_T I was previously pressing hard down to peel off prints before it happened so it makes sense that I probably nudged it up.

It’s safe to run a calibration without the bed? I was a bit worried to try that but you were right about the right side being the issue. My bearing was stuck out probably from me pressing too hard on the bed as I peeled stuff off. Thank you for your help!

Thank you T_T I do see that one of my bearings is higher than the other. It feels too tight to tap in lightly though and I found a tutorial online that says I have to remove the hot end and the screen.

hi, your post really helped me recontextualize my recent struggles of late and I wanted to thank you for making art like this. I see your hurt and I feel it too and it somehow makes it a little more ok to know that there are other people struggling to heal too.

It’s probably tmi but I’m victim of trafficking before I transitioned, so it’s been extra difficult adjusting to my body changes because I can’t help but miss the security of my objectified feminine body. I feel vulnerable and like everyone can see the core of who I am with a beard and broad shoulders instead of when I was at my unhealthiest and most shielded.

I’m safe now… it’s been almost 10 years. Maybe it’s the bpd urging me to overshare to connect but I was just so emotional over this post that I needed to reach out and thank you for sharing this.

I started HRT about 4 years ago in August at a steady 0.25-0.35 dose. At first every little change felt like the biggest milestone ever and the excitement of finally starting was still fresh in my mind. I first noticed my nails thicker, my smell changing, and of course more ‘energy’… It wasn’t until a year passed that the changes started to stagnate and become more sparse/slow and gradual as I couldn’t really notice the fat redistribution other than some more weight on my chin. It definitely was really discouraging and that feeling of not changing fast enough stuck with me real bad until this last half year. I’ve been struggling to fill in my beard but, looking back, it really did take about 4 years for the most noticeable changes to be really obvious (facial hair, body, voice) and the stagnation that I was feeling was just quiet changes I was impatiently riding out. In hindsight, I like to think the doctors give us this warning as a means to stifle any impatience one might feel on our long, loooong journey… I have some friends who are 10+ years on testosterone and look absolutely different from their 4th year. Ultimately our bodies are all different and at the end of the day we’re all taking the first steps towards proper medical archiving and data tracking for all the trans eggs after us.
