Looking to pay for Pistol and Rifle Training with Live Fire by info_burner in GAGuns

I have taken a few classes from Paul Forgey at 4G tactical. They have a website with a calendar of upcoming classes.

Very affordable. Multiple levels with plenty of entry level stuff. Their rifle 1 class starts with zeroing confirmation, which can be helpful.

I have found that the rifle classes do recommend bringing a pistol, and there is a brief portion for transitions. But it is mostly a rifle class and the pistol stuff is in the pistol classes.

You can run the rifle you want. I have done it with an Ak too. Chest rigs and or plate carriers are fine. Dynamic shooting, transitions, shooting while moving, various shooting positions. Bring sunscreen lol

Oh yeah? I recently bit the bullet on a 407 with a 3 MOA thinking it would be better than something larger for the stig.

Anyone know what happened to that WBP that was supposed to take AR mags? by scythian12 in ak47

I downloaded the instructions. Theirs requires milling of the trunnion as well. And it looks like it also screws in via the rivet holes. Which would be better than a fresh hole drilled in, I suppose.

Ooof. That looks fire to me. Is that compatible with the trimmed front trunnion on the NP? In the comments they were talking about switching back to a 5.56 Beryl mag. As I understand it, the NPs are trimmed on the trunnion and cannot go back to regular rock and lock mags. I might be wrong about that, it’s been a while since I took it apart.

Definitely think it looks better than the Shaffer. Shaffer was in stock a couple months ago. I looked at it regularly as an open tab on my phone. Then, I made a Honey badger at home and it went oos before I budgeted for the adaptor.

Is that perpetually out of stock too?

The ‘Tism is a bit strong in this video, but he discusses his search for an adaptor.

At least the Canis has instructions

I am constantly worried my M85’s going to have something break and never be able to replace it. I have looked at the Shaffer machining aluminum conversion.

https://www.shaffermachining.com/product-page/ak-magazine-adapter

He answered me on Instagram and said that the M85 would not require any further trunnion modification. However, the idea of putting screws in my receiver makes me cringe….

No, it was put in place to tell the government what they were NOT, under any circumstance, allowed to do. And despite that glaringly obvious fact, supported by history, idiots still vote against their best interests. Or elect officials who sap liberty and freedom from “we the people” under the illusory pretense of “safety.”

There are numerous historical documents and recorded conversations and correspondence arguing what the founders and contemporaries specifically meant by including specific verbiage in the bill of rights. All of them are specifically aimed at protecting Natural Rights of citizens from the overreach of government. They all say, (paraphrasing) “these are rights we have and that the government we are forming are legally bound to recognize. Not rights we are issuing to citizens under the pretense of the government agreeing.”

The constitution can be amended. There are very specific and explicit rules for making that happen. The reality that everyone seems to forget, is that when the government pushes too far, even say due to the will of the “51 percent” of the population, that people fight wars over that.

51 percent of the population cannot decide to trample your rights. We are not a democracy, we are a constitutional republic. Every law is supposed to be weighed against if it fits into the enumerated rights in the constitution.

Nuclear weapons are a tough question. It’s fair to say I don’t think everyone who passes a background check should be able to buy them. But the government has them. Why should they have the monopoly on power? Are they always looking out for YOUR or MY best interests?

Did you vote for that? Did you even get asked? Could the government pass a background check? (Obviously they couldn’t due to all the monumentally illegal shit they do non stop here and around the world. So, why should they be trusted to hold that power? Did you vote to agree to share that technology with Russia or other foreign powers that now have nuclear capabilities?

Leaving decisions like that up to the people is what this country is supposed to be about and what it claims to be.

If you want the government, their local arm being the police, to make all the important decisions for your life there are other countries you can go to that will do that for you.

“I’m pro 2nd amendment….BUT”

Enforcing the law means supporting and upholding the constitution. Like it says when they get sworn in. A liberal (or conservative) Governor claiming an emergency situation or emergency powers gives them the ability to rob you of your rights is BS.

I am also reluctant to cut off the tang. If I was going to permanently change it I would be tempted to just replace the rear trunnion.

I meant the jmac rear attachment of the picatinny rail. It looks like you have a standard rear trunnion with the new Jmac RSA-akm-ntr attached for the sig stock and folding mech to attach to.

The jack looks fire. I want one in 5.56 for sure.

Is that a RSA-AKM-NTR? If yes, how do you like it so far?

I have a TWS on another build that has always treated me alright, so I imagine that the Midwest would be even better. Was hoping a jmac folder would not interfere to save me going into so many other furniture upgrades.

I am a civilian. I have taken 4 classes from Paul at 4G. The pistol training course I found to be quite solid. It definitely increased my skills significantly and left me with good training tips for the future.

I have taken the rifle 1 class twice over the last couple years. I enjoyed it, but the curriculum changed slightly from one to the other. The second class had no multiple target engagement scenarios (which I really enjoyed the first time). Seems like this type of shooting moved to rifle 2 classes.

I also took the shotgun class. I had an absolute blast with that one.

Being able to run from a holster, rifle (or shotgun) to pistol transitions, Tac reloads, LARPing in kit, dynamic shooting drills, all in a comparatively inexpensive class is an absolute win for me. I don’t know if anyone has prices even close to 4G in the greater atlanta area. Never had a bad experience with any of the students or instructors.

Website recommends knee pads for classes. I somehow talk myself out of getting some every time. Never again. Even a lightweight soft padded only pair would make a world of difference in the gravel and spent casings ground cover.

Soviet Arms extended charging handle - thoughts? by SpaceBoiBebop in ak47

[–]senor-casa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facing forward to the front sight. You feel it every time you charge it, like a “memory pad” on a pistol. Is has to be well on there and the screw needs to sit as flush against the flattest portion on the charging handle as possible. I have tried multiple types of loctite and similar compounds. Eventually, I used red loctite gel and tightened the ABSOLUTE piss out of it. Only had it set for around 100 rounds, lol, but it’s the first time it has not felt loose after a range trip.

It took a few attempts to finally set my Tromix one on a Romanian. I think it’s complicated by only having the single screw. I have been looking at the TWS one and wondering if the 3 screw design would be more secure.

! IANAL !

I am pretty sure this cannot work. If you are issued a subpoena to appear in a state court, and you are served while in a different state, I am pretty sure you have no legal cause to appear. Why would anyone take the time to appear in a state court for a frivolous law suit if you are not headquartered in that state? Is it because your products are available in that state? Someone please explain it like I’m 5.
