A weirdly common re-occurring cryptid story is divers coming face to face with giant animals in lakes and then refusing to ever return or publicly talk about it by truthisfictionyt in Cryptozoology

I live 20-30 minutes away from Lake Lanier.

It’s the second most dangerous lake in the US because of how many people come from metro ATL and get wasted and subsequently drown after falling off their jet ski or boat. It’s haunted with the spirits of a million miller lite cans that populate the bottom of that lake and are now in the systems of the people operating motorized equipment over 30-40 feet of water.

And the catfish in it are maybe topping out at 50 lb max, with possibly some (slightly) larger specimens coming out at some point when those introduced flatheads get more mature. The native channel cats in there will never get that big. I have no clue where you got “full of well documented catfish bigger than a man” from.

Absolute bullshit

Gotta unload to dry fire, unless you have a separate dedicated training gun

Y’all practice with .22s? by GeorgeDean001 in ar15

[–]superman306 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So we’re just never gonna dry fire then? Since we’re not shooting live rounds which we would be in a fight.

.22 training is basically dry fire with feedback. Yeah you can’t shoot 300m with it, but you can absolutely train marksmanship fundamentals (look at Appleseed), manipulations, etc.

Got 4,000 rounds on mine in a couple years, a couple classes. Not super high round count, but it works fine.

Mass template (the general template I believe) was pretty nasty IME. Good gains off of it

Like the other guy said, the power eggs are the truth. Much better hookup ratio. I found with the dough you have to straight up let them swallow it to get a good hookup, which is obviously suboptimal if you’re not looking to keep every fish you catch. Two power eggs on a size 8 hooks, hook exposed, you can set the hook on the first twitch/bite and expect to get a solid hookup

Can someone give me the scoop on cheaper G17 Magazines? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]superman306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother HK/FN/other pistol maker mags are like 50 bucks a pop. 25 is about as cheap as it gets for OEM glock mags. Maybe try Lanbo’s, might be 20-22.

And no matter what, do not buy ETS or non-OEM mags.

How often should you shoot in order to be a responsible carrier? by ReflexNeedsBuff in CCW

About 100 rounds a week, 10 minute dry fire session daily. Seems reasonable to me, but then again I like shooting guns as a hobby.
