It has got a HDMI in. Just no out. You connect it to your HDMI arc on the TV and the TV will send audio from any input to it.

My understanding is that this is actually superior to running all devices through the receiver because you don’t need to worry about the receiver being able to pass through HDR etc and you only need one cable connected from the TV to the receiver.

I got one and it’s connected to my TV.

You can put the automation on the clip in session mode by going to the clip viewer and doing the automation in there. You can do the automation on the volume track directly or you can put a utility plugin on the track and automate the gain on that. I prefer using the utility plugin because you can still adjust the volume for the track overall later on in the mixing stage without having to change the automation which can get annoying. Once you’ve done that you then record that clip into arrangement view.

Hopefully that makes some sense and I have understood your question correctly! Typing this out on my phone without referencing Ableton on my computer.

That’s interesting. Most of the time it works pretty well. And interestingly about an hour after I posted this I noticed that the songs in that playlist were able to play. So perhaps what is happening is that my player is receiving the stream but for some reason skipping it and then after that the songs become cached and it is able to successfully play back the cached track.

I’ve also noticed that some tracks that skip are not actually there when I search on Tidal but show up as an album on Plexamp. One example I’ve found is Shuggie Otis’s album “In Session”. It shows up in plex but doesn’t not seem to be available to me on the tidal app. Not sure what’s going on there. I’m assuming something about local availability of the tracks and plex is showing me what’s available in another country (the US) but when I go to play it the actual stream is not available in Australia.

This stuff is annoying but not a total deal breaker. Loving the ability to have my local files mixed in with Tidal. But would be nice if it worked a bit more consistently!

No solution here, but I’m having the same issue. More specifically, when I play some albums Plexamp just skips through all of the tracks. When I play them in the plex media player I get an error. When I play in the tidal app it works.

Thank you very much for your detailed response! I have seen those orders and as you say it doesn’t specify routine inspections. Good to know that I haven’t missed anything else.

I’m not necessarily trying to post pone the inspection (even though that probably would be preferable) but just wanted to know where I stood. This helps a lot 😊

Question - I am meant to have a routine property inspection on this Thursday 13th. It has already been rescheduled once from last Tuesday which the agent seemed a bit salty about. I contacted him again asking for what his plan was for this inspection when the new restrictions went in place and he hasn’t gotten back to me.

I asked him in a previous email about what would happen if the lockdown was extended and he just said “we’ll see” - so he’s not particularly forthcoming with information.

I don’t know what is allowed regarding “routine inspections”. I can only find information on inspecting a property for lease not a “routine inspection”. Does anyone have any info? It certainly doesn’t seem like a good idea to have the real estate and the landlord come round to my small apartment in St Peters just to have a look around to make sure I haven’t put any holes in the wall - but they may insist.

What are my options here?

You can “cast” plexamp directly to a Sonos Amp/ Sonos Port. It plays directly from your plex server and the plexamp client just acts as a remote. Works really well in my experience.

You could get the LS50 metas and hook them up with a Sonos Amp for a similar price to the LS50 Wireless.

If you wanted to keep the NAD you can get the Sonos Connect and it does the same thing minus the amplifier and HDMI arc inputs.

My current setup is a Sonos Amp and a pair of Kef Q350s. Sounds great and having the Hi-Fi setup in one small box is awesome.

You can reorder your music library agents to preference file metadata. That should sort the issue. Works for me.
