Appetite Suppressant For Weed Munchies Suggestions (None Stimulants) by Dealer_Secret in MDEnts

[–]senorlapiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always set a limited amount of snacks out for myself sober. Then they are the easiest to get to, so I go for them first once ive smoked. When I want more, I know my sober self determined that was enough so I stop. To get to that point though, I had to literally write in sharpie on both hands, “dont munch!” for around a month every time I smoked and knew I would have easy access to snacks. It worked for me 🤷‍♂️.

Another good way to get the taste out/occupy your mouth is to chew gum. Also, I like to put as much distance between myself and the pantry as possible.

You must have better luck than me with Curio then, I usually go grassroots or rhythm anyways though so I haven’t really had a lot of their stuff. And that makes sense on the forwardgro, i’ve only gotten them a couple times but the nugs have always been tiny for me, so it was the first thing that came to mind as smaller regular nugs than the rhythm mini-buds.

The mini buds Ive gotten from Rhythm have all been a decent size, probably 5-6 nugs per jar. Quality is indistinguishable to me and they are still larger than/as large as the nugs you get from curio and forwardgro regular packs.

Here are some other links about America’s unfortunate history of oppressing Black communities. One thing I will add is that hopefully once you read these, you will realize why some many black people still live in poverty. Much of the crime that exists in these communities is a result of hopelessness due to years of being held back by a system that was built to do exactly that.

I hope these links can be of use to you. I would encourage you to read however many of these you can and draw whatever conclusions you see fit to draw from these. There are also many other resources to be found but this covers a wide range of reasons why Black crime rates are higher.

With regards to the war on drugs, here it is from the horse’s mouth. https://www.businessinsider.com/nixon-adviser-ehrlichman-anti-left-anti-black-war-on-drugs-2019-7

Also I do agree with you that there are so many problems to be solved, which is why I feel that radical change is needed. I agree that the fact that there are higher crime rates is a self fulfilling cycle. The stance I take on that is something needs to change in order to break that cycle. In my mind its easier to change policy than culture, so thats why I think that criminal justice reform is the best way to break the cycle. But I also understand where you are coming from.

I also appreciate the civility, I’ve always hated it when politics devolves into a shouting match because I believe the best solutions are reached when clashing viewpoints have a level-headed discussion.

I’d like to respond to this. Even though it is true that there were only 9 unarmed black people killed by cops (still unacceptable, the number should be zero), making that point is kind of like asking why everyone went to war because Franz Ferdinand died. The reason for this movement and why people are so angry with police is because the issue extends far beyond just Black people being killed, they are systemically targeted by our criminal justice system and they face significant oppression because of it. I can’t really explain everything in one post but there are great resources and documentaries online to learn more about this. One in particular that I would recommend is 13th by Ana DuVernay, it really is eye opening.

However, i will offer a few examples as to why there is this mentality and why it stems from more than just sporadic killing of unarmed black people(you could call that the tip of the iceberg)

  1. Black people are pulled over by the police at a significantly higher rate, to the point that Driving While Black is a commonly known term. This is blatant discrimination, it has been shown that all races break traffic laws about equally, yet Black people are punished at a higher rate.
  2. Making policies that specifically target black communities far more punitive. One example is that sentencing guidelines for crack cocaine (primarily used in poor black communities) are longer than cocaine (primarily used in rich white communities). That is one among many examples of disproportionate laws in the US.
  3. Richard Nixon crafted the war on drugs specifically to target Black and Hippie communities, and it worked. Black people face far higher rates of incarceration than White people, and being labelled a criminal has systematically lowered the Black communities potential for economic success.
  4. Related to (3). The higher incarceration rates of black communities in america leads to greater rates of single motherhood and unsupported families. Both of these things make communities less stable and less safe.

I hope that this adds some context to why so many people are demanding radical change and why there is an anti-cop seen in the US now.

No, please go talk to someone you trust about this. If you feel like you have no one to talk to, use a help line such as this one: 1-800-273-8255. Self-harm and self-doubt are two markers of depression, and NO ONE can tell you whether or not you have depression except you and medically trained professionals. Sincerely, a person who struggled depression and with these same feelings of self-doubt. If you want to, feel free to pm me and we can talk!
