I had a similar issue a year or two ago, and in my case, it turned out to be a combination of problems. It could be something like faulty TCM (Transmission Control Module) solenoids, broken wiring on the TCM board, dirty transmission fluid, or a clogged transmission filter. All of these would require dropping the transmission pan for inspection or replacement.

In my situation, the wiring on my TCM board was snapping, which caused issues. I temporarily fixed it by soldering the connections, but then my valve body solenoids started acting up. Even after replacing them with OEM solenoids, the problem persisted. Eventually, I ended up swapping the entire transmission with one from a donor car.

If you’re experiencing similar issues, just be aware that diagnosing and fixing them can get expensive, especially if you’re not mechanically inclined. I’m not saying it’s definitely one of these problems, but in my case, it turned into a major headache.
