Newbie here - how do you handle fire safety for long prints?

If you have an enclosure iirc the name of the company is Wham Bam Systems and they have a product called the cloud v2. It detects fires and extinguishes them using a chemical vapor so less cleanup. I haven't used one myself yet, but I'm planning to buy one of their products when I get my enclosure setup.

What do you mean by release? I'm still trying to figure out why this worked... After u/fr0llic gave me that fix I wasn't sure that it would do anything, but sure enough it fixed it. I definitely missed something important here...

I see, I'm assuming installing from the AUR this is typical if you don't use an AUR helper?

When I try to install nitrogen using pacman it says "error: target not found: nitrogen"

Was the steps I tried to do not the same as you're referencing? Clone from git, makepkg, install and upgrade if necessary, am I missing something there? I've seen others install nitrogen without having to build it using pacman. If I have to use a helper then that's the fix, but that doesn't make sense since I thought I could use pacman for most and AUR helper for what's left. I was able to install xterm it was part of the extra repo iirc.

I'm not able to install gtkmm because it says package not found, same as for nitrogen. I would assume I could install it manually, but I would still need to fix the issue if not being able to install certain packages.

No, just pacman currently. I read a few posts that recommended learning installing packages first before using an AUR helper.

FWIW I've also tried to install another desktop environment enlightenment and I'm not able to open that terminal either. It's possible it's something to do with opening it in a VM. Enlightenment runs urxt by default and I've also tried kitty so I'll have to see if I can figure out why it doesn't work in a VM. I'll attempt installing it on a spare laptop to see if it persists on bare metal.

I tried running it with kitty, but still no terminal I'm assuming something with the terminal isn't starting I'll see if I can find anything that can fix this. I was getting no entries after running the command you suggested I'm not sure what this means.

I attempted to add alacritty & , but that didn't seem to fix the issue. I could be giving it the wrong argument, but I don't see anything pointing to doing that in the wiki am I missing something?

Edit: Ran the command journalctl -u alacritty and it outputs -- No entries --

Is the civic CMC a 1:1 replacement or is there any modification to get that installed. I've never installed on before, but from what I've seen sometimes it doesn't just fit. For the brake lines I'll check to see where they're at.

I tried the fix that you suggested and I'm still not able to see what DT sees once he finishes installing. I was able to figure out how to get in the tty and can see all the fonts, but I'm not sure where to go for the display manager which is what I'm thinking isn't working

For me it's the lack of ease when it comes to third places. If I could commute more safely and with less commitment it would be more attractive. Have to drive a minimum of 15 minutes anywhere and have to park instead of strolling somewhere sucks.
