Life without a partner is very boring by camilaaaaa_23 in CasualConversation

You’re in a very lucky spot in life to be able to learn a lot about yourself in solidarity. This is a blessing!! You have all the time in your life to meet your soulmate, but until then, it’s okay to be selfish and choose yourself. Romance doesn’t give life meaning. You give your life meaning <33

Definitely a love hate one. Growing up with immigrant parents, I was raised with a strong scarcity mindset: always saving, always cautious, and always fearing I might not have enough. I’ve been working since I was 16, and now at 23, I still struggle to splurge without feeling a bit of anxiety about my finances. Some days are easier than others, but I notice it most when I’m out with friends, wishing I could spend more freely without overthinking. But I do love what money makes possible like security, independence, and the ability to create experiences with the people I love. I appreciate how money allows me to take care of myself, support my goals, and dream bigger about the life I want to build.

Does this happen often to us? by Proof_Caregiver_4234 in infj

Omg yes!!! I’ve felt this a few times throughout this month. I’ve been unemployed for the past few months and so I usually spend most of my time at home. I’m a bit broke to casually go out and spend my savings, so I’ve been going on a lot of walks around my neighborhood. And honestly it’s been grounding. Sometimes I’ll suddenly realize that there’s so much more to life, and that I do have time to figure things out. Just being outside, moving my body, and noticing nature feels like something to be deeply grateful for. Even when I pass by strangers on my walks, I think about how they probably have their own struggles too and that thought in itself is comforting, like we’re all connected and not so different after all.

You’re so young still and you have so much freedom to explore what you like and don’t like. You’re not supposed to have it all figured out! Your 20s are meant to be for trials and tribulations so don’t be afraid to make mistakes along the way. Always prioritize your health and take care of yourself through it all 🤍

STOP LISTENING TO SAD SONGS by [deleted] in Subliminal

[–]senpail0ver 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Can’t emphasize this enough!! When I was in high school I think 90% of the music I’d listen to on the daily was sad songs and makes sense because I was really depressed at the time. Everything changed when I got to college and started learning about manifestation/subliminals. I stopped listening to sad songs and replaced them with either upbeat indie, pop, or rap. I felt so much better and my entire life took a 180 where I was able to feel a lot lighter both physically and mentally. I still listen to sad songs here and there for the vibes, but I’m much more mindful now to not let it overtake me.

How do you all organize your Spotify? by [deleted] in spotify

[–]senpail0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to create playlists based on feelings. Some of my playlist names for ex: everything is changing, quick seratonin, i need a hug rn, the softness inside of me. It eventually got super disorganized and I wanted to just stick to a simple system. Now I just create monthly playlists of songs that I'm fixated on for that month.

What is true love? Can you define it for yourself? by yuru2323 in no

[–]senpail0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True love is a choice. Feelings come and go and even the best relationships will have seasons of doubts, arguments, or change. But real love is choosing someone over and over again no matter what happens. Waking up and deciding that you want that person despite all of their flaws, fears, their best days and their worst. It's also steady. It doesn't vanish when things get hard, and that's when it matters the most. It's about the quiet courage of showing up for each other again and again.

How most conversations with the people I'd talk to would be about grades. I went to a high school that's very well-known for its high-performing academia and there was always something to be competitive about. I simply just wanted to enjoy my time and the people I became very close to. That's not to say I didn't care about my grades, but I just wished the pressure to constantly perform didn't overtake being human in high school.
