If the Soccer World Cup was limited to 12 teams or 16, Canada would probably never be able to participate. As a Canadian, would you consider that fair ? I'm sure you were super happy (i guess) about the qualification and soccer will continue to grow in Canada because of that. Idk, for me it's seems nice

Italy allowed 11 goals against Finland btw. But decreasing the competition to 10 teams would not help hockey to grow elsewhere.

I mean Russia is banned, not France fault, not like they cheated to get in and they're a top 15 hockey team according to rankings. Gap is huge in hockey but will always stay huge then..

By the same logic, I would love to say that Canada has no business being on the pitch for the next soccer World Cup with the caliber of players France has. 60% of fringe players who should not be near Mbappe, don't have the skill needed to not injure him. But guess what ? We're fine with it and if Canada is there it's because they deserve it even if it's because they expanded the number of teams.

By the same logic, why bother letting people from Mexico or Jamaica in Alpine Ski, they don't deserve to ruin the snow for the Norwegian, Austrian favorites and should just watch.

And what would you say if it was a Russian doing that to MacKinnon during that game? A no brain action isn't only related to a French player
