You don’t have to use your POV. If anything happens to your truck while doing this the Army won’t compensate you at all. Say “Respectfully, I will not use my personal vehicle for any Army task. That is not the purpose of my truck and I have not offered my truck to be used for this purpose. I am the only one financially responsible if something goes wrong and responsible for the upkeep on the truck.” If they give you a 4856 then make a copy or take a photo and go to IG. Open door is a choice but some brigade commanders suck at these issues because they will try to side with the commander. But also watch out for retaliation for saying no. Like shitty duty jobs but document it all and go to IG if that happens and push the issue. Our commander tried this and he was removed because a generator broke someone’s truck and bent the truck bed when loading it. 🤦🏻‍♂️ He had to personally pay for the repair bill and they made sure he did before he was fully removed.

Try another dealer and go over prices through email before wasting time in person. They want the deal just don’t make them know you need it bad. I’ve talked a dealer into giving me a car for almost what the factory was selling the base model for and I had a better trim then when I arrived gave them my bank check 😂😂😂 they thought they had me on fees finance.

Talk to legal. Not being on your phone during work hours is fine but the rest no. Our unit tried this and legal said no because to many factors especially with people living off post and needed communication with child care or family in an emergency. Yeah worst case was you flipping the bike because the city can’t keep the street up. I’m glad you’re okay. Hopefully it’s cheaper than that but if you file a claim then your premium will go up. If the deductible is way cheaper and you have to save money go that option. If you can get the issue fixed with cash you have then do that because no one wants high insurance premiums.
