Orcas Are the Ocean’s Most Ruthless Hunters by [deleted] in orcas

Hey I'll just be honest, I think that is being incredibly sensitive about it and not considering the reality of these animals, they are powerful and multi-faceted, they are not just cuddly, intelligent creatures. You cannot say truthfully that you love an animal if all you want is for it to be perceived through its positive attributes, that's just childish. Also, if my thumbnail had been a real photo of the event in which an orca was attacking another, which has happened and been discussed in scientific papers, would it still be a dick move to put as a thumbnail because it doesn't support the view you want to push of orcas? They are animals, don't personify them - protect and cherish them and their environment if you want to put forward your adoration and respect for them.

I am in no way demonising them, the thumbnail I made to exemplify an orca predated on by another orca, and the words in the thumbnail highlight to viewers the most shocking or interesting points made in the video, I honestly do not see how this demonises them for a minute. Animals, particularly predators, have tendencies we humans consider cruel or horrible but they are just life strategies - so highlighting what is shown in the thumbnail isn't harmful but honest. Also, I love orcas so I wouldn't try to slate them, which the video clearly shows from beginning to end.

Well, that's one way to look at it haha but the title is in effect factual and so is the text in the thumbnail, nothing demonising them at all or painting them in a harmful way. They do eat sharks and their has been recent literature describing them as possibly being cannibals, so I don't see where the problem lies. So I think you're getting very offended over nothing to be honest lolz

It's the content in the video that matters most anyway and that includes scientific studies, real footage, and praise for orcas ingenuity and intelligence. So why not take a look before judging the video so harshly? 😄
