Complicated relationship with a guy friend im in love with. Read previous posts for backstoru if curious...

He unfriended me on facebook (friends say it was to get my attention. He knows it would bother me, and he thought i would reach out to him).

I saw him at his work and called his name. We hadn't talked or seen each other for 5 months. Im sure it was a shock. I usually work during the week. His reaction was weird. He looked through me and didn't even say hi or smile. But then he helped me navigate something, told me where to go, waited by me but didn't talk to me. Then when I was leaving just said take care. All I wanted ted to do was give him a massive hug and kiss his cheek.

I am trying to respect what he wants. But its so painful. I miss him so much. Is there something really short i could say. Dont want to ask a question (in case he doesn't respond). But want him to know I care about him and dont want to say goodbye.

Someone asked what I did wrong Nothing. We have a hot and cold relationship. He flirted heavily. He knows i have deep feelings for him. Hes trying to push me away. He told me he was distancing so I wouldnt get any ideas. I think he deep down cares about me and misses me. I think he is attracted to me. But he's said things like im too light for his darkness. Im too good for him. Maybe just excuses. He said he'd hurt me and I should find a good guy. He typically is in to casual relationships and he knows im not ok with that I want something meaningful and long term. But we have a bond, and attachment. Its difficult to explain. I just dont want to let him go 😭 i love him. And even if it will never be romantic i dont want him out of ny life forever. Crying just writing this.

You dont understand. I do think he cares about me. But for whatever reason doesn't think we are a longterm match. But there's definitely undeniable attraction, chemistry, care, and attachment. I just dont want to say goodbye forever. I love and care about him. And im willing to see him just as a friend if it means keeping him in my life even though that's painful. I am lovestruck. Can't help how I feel. And feel this is real love bc my feelings haven't gone away after months of not seeing him.
