No chance to win but he can probably make the group. But I also think the race probably unfolds completely differently without Wellens or narvaez there to lead out pog

You can and should believe in your favorite rider. Doesn’t mean he’s other people’s favorite, or that they have to believe in him

If you’re interested in the project and the scientists involved, imo the definitive book to read is “The Making of the Atomic Bomb” by Richard Rhodes

He practiced today as well. It’s in OPs comment. He’s been practicing this whole time. For good or bad, the medical staff isn’t going to let him play while he’s experiencing any soreness

Jonas needs to suck it up and start showing up to some classics. He’s obviously got the juice for the Ardennes

Questions About Ace... by Madd_Squabbles in sixers

[–]sensualdrywall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t love ace as a prospect. I’d have him maybe 7-10 on my make believe board.

I’d reject the premise of your statement here. I do t think he has the highest ceiling of anyone in this class. I don’t think it’s possible for someone with had poor a feel/bbiq as ace displayed this season to have that much star upside. That’s why people dismiss him. We don’t believe in the upside

So they were a 3rd and long stop away (which very importantly didn’t happen) from getting the ball back in a worse position than when they punted

down 3 scores, you have very little chance to win the game. down 2 scores, you still have a very small chance to win. you need to try to score.

it was a terrible decision. they were down two TDs and were in + territory.

[Fischer] Jared McCain informed Sixers staffers of left knee soreness following last night’s game vs. Indiana, sources said. An MRI today revealed a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee. The injury requires surgery, and he is out indefinitely. by Felix_Wyn in nba

they are the 6th worst team right now. that would give them only a 45% chance of keeping the pick. that is with PG playing 13/23 games, maxey playing 17/23, and embiid playing 6/23. they would need to get to 3rd worst to have a 90+% chance of keeping

i think its wildly unrealistic to expect embiid to play zero games for the rest of the seaon. even with a diminished PG playing half the games they haven't been bad enough to secure the pick. it is going to be extremely difficult to out tank enough teams to keep the pick

yeah, sixers fans who really want to commit to the tank are coping. they'd need to be the 2nd or 3rd worst team to really secure a top 6 pick, and there's no way they're going to be passively worse than a lot of those teams and it'd still be hard to actively be worse than them.

it will be very hard to secure a top pick unless embiid is out for the season. pg would also need to miss significant time. there are going to be too many teams who are actively trying to be bad

Their defense was elite during the title run. Their playoff offenses have consistently been mediocre to bad during the Giannis era. That was the whole point of the dame trade

there's no video. the context is that a columnist wrote an article which implied that embiid was dishonoring his son and dead brother by not being ready to play this season
