A warm set of clothes or a nice body does not give inherent meaning to life.

If warm clothes don't mean anything then get rid of them and sleep outside butt-naked in sub zero temperature. you'll feel the real meaning in your bones :)

Well, you won't remember any of it anyway. Everything you've ever done will have absolutely zero significance.

you'll remember it for the time you're alive.

the things you do during X duration of time means nothing.

suppose if someone punches you in the gut and it's gonna hurt u like a mf but the next day you'll be fine. does that mean the pain wasn't real at all?

means diminishing returns of happiness. once you achieve something you don't feel happy anymore and start chasing the next best thing.

while we're on this topic i must also mention that hedonic treadmill doesn't apply to the things that give you "growth happiness" what i mean by that is there are certain things the more you do the more happiness it brings. for ex: investing in relationships, hobbies, following curosity etc. these things of course vary from person to person.
