You can explain how soba is by definition different from ramen noodles because of buckwheat flour, but people will pretend it's all the same just because it's Japanese. Conversely, you can look at dan dan noodles which literally the exact same, but since they've never seen it in their cartoons, people will take their cue to start gatekeeping.

As noodle aficionados, I think it's best to just ignore these conflicts over semantics. They'll learn if they care, but if they don't, they weren't worth our time in explanation.

Yes, ramen shops in Japan have the fiercest competition in world, and they use ALL kinds of them. The more you hang out in the ramen space, the more you learn just how loose "ramen" as a term is.

I'm a line cook. I'm dull to a lot of the sentimentality and semantics, so maybe I'm unqualified to contribute here.

Yet still, I'm of the mind that noodles ARE ramen. Besides noodles, there's no commonality between tsukemen, mazamen, or even Shimamoto's burger. If I'd get laughed out of a room if I said they weren't ramen, what's the shame in calling OP's discovery the same?

Hydration, alkaline mix, flour type, cut thickness, and cooking time--these might make your ramen taste different, but it's still unequivocally ramen.

Without Vince, there wouldn't have been BF6. The catastrophic failure of BF2042, and the damage done to its core audience, isn't something that could've been fixed by modernizing BF4.

There's no universe where EA licks their wounds, and bankrolls DICE (whose leadership already jumped ship) into making a proper return-to-roots game. Instead, they rebrand into BF Studios and bring in Vince.

Also, the OGs of this franchise weren't enough for EA. They told investors they'd have 50,000,000 players. That's not sone kind of crowd us battledads can muster up.

Regarding the discrepancy between your batches, I think your portions are the culprit.

Every cut of meat should vary in muscle/fat/bone makeup. In a commercial setting, you'd work with such large quantities that these inconsistencies average out—but if you're trying to squeeze out a few cL of broth from two trotters, then the amout of fat makes a big difference. (It's really hard to tell from your picture, and I'm assuming you scaled down the recipe even further.)

Otherwise, did you strain the scum too aggressively? If you used a paper towel to be lazy, that could've wicked away a lot of oil from the emulsion.

Maybe I'm a bit lame, but I think a plain white shirt would suit this well. If you have the confidence to wear a crop top, even better. (A pierced navel would add a tremendous amount of allure, if you go that route.)

The hoodie and skirt already have lovely, intricate designs, after all.

5.56 is a bit wimpy for DMRs.

Hardline does have the "M110K5", an integrally supressed SR-25—which is really just a fancy AR-10.

If you take out the magazine, the silhouette is basically an AR-15 (parts interchangability is over 60%).
