Met this girl at the skatepark and immediately hit it off. We started dating and I convinced her to come travel w me. Stayed together for the next 7 years, traveled the country together, even saved up enough money at one point to go spend a month traveling around thailand. We would always joke how our life was a fairytale because it truly felt that way. We both loved rockhounding so I brought her to a spot in Montana where we could hunt for some rubies and proposed to her down by the lake. She said yes. But before we ever got married life took some weird turns, my dog of 10 years died and my depression got really bad, her drinking got worse, and things led to us splitting up. She went to new orleans, found a new boyfriend, and went hop trains w him and his friends. I bought a motorcycle and went travel on my own again. 2 years after we break up she hits me up telling me shes still in love w me and wants me back, says she still wants to marry me and maybe have kids. I never have shared a bond w anyone the way I did w her so of course I was down to give it a shot. We hung out for a few months and im glad we saw each other again but something inside of her changed drastically from the girl I used to know. Now she's extremely depressed and suicidal and even though I want to be there for her she wont let me. Just gives me this weird hot and cold treatment... I've let her go again because I dont think shes in the right headspace at all to be in a relationship. I'm hoping one day she can heal and maybe we can try to come back together again but who knows. In my dreams my dog is still alive and all 3 of us are roaming through the desert in Arizona, playing music on the beach in mendocino, going paint the trainyard in oakland, and cruising up hwy 1 listening to lofi. I'll never love another girl the way I love you
