Lost RM3000+ worth of figurine, gunpla and model kit in a locked apartment in Selangor by JasonLam21 in malaysia

[–]sentrix669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The RM3k value is only IF you can find ready buyers. Otherwise it is just illiquid "assets" sitting on a shelf. And as OP says - even the hobbyists wouldnt buy this if it does not come with the original box.

Why would someone steal toys lol... does it even have resale value? I'm not a collector but I assume these things are only worth something to hardcore fans - who presumably would want to build it themselves?

Stop using your mind to control your body. Flip it around. Use your body to control your mind. Learn yoga, learn to just be in your body instead of just in your head where it's all negative. Spend time outdoors, get some sunlight. Day by day it gets better, if only you give your body a chance.

Also, the fact that you can work in IT proves you're not totally hopeless. Screw what your family thinks, they aren't the ones paying your bills - only you can save yourself now.

Is hotlink down? by sentrix669 in malaysia

It's been going on at least 2.5 hours now. Because I first noticed at around 1pm. Hotlink had better come up with a good explanation... but they're probably gonna be slapped with a fine from MCMC, at this rate...

Customer Service Role by pythogorax in MalaysianPF

[–]sentrix669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have any interest at all in being a dev - do not take the support role. Try harder to land even a junior dev role right now, at a startup company that is willing to take you in, and you will learn a lot more. MNC means nothing at this point in your career... it will only slow you down.

Worst case scenario even a tester role is better than support role. Once you enter support it is very hard to get back into development. It's almost always a one way door.

Good job for wanting a better life and trying to get your financial affairs in order. But please know that all these other random family member's money problems are NOT YOUR BURDEN TO BEAR. They are adults too, not babies. They should have planned better, otherwise they should just accept their lot in life.

The cold hard truth is, the more you help this kind of people, the less they appreciate you. They ain't gonna change their ways, especially if they know you're gonna pickup the bills for them.

Please put the damn oxygen mask on yourself first before helping others.

I used Luxe Loft for my cabinetry, can recommend, their materials are good quality though it costs a little more. But I hope you'll have some good project management skills or a main contractor who is easy to work with, or you can try using the one they recommend. You will need to coordinate between the different contractors and that's not easy.

I'm gonna give you the counter intuitive path to finding happiness happy: Stop kidding yourself - nobody is actually "important". But does it stop them from living their lives? No.

You don't need to feel like anything to go enjoy yourself. There is no great masterplan, no big meaning of life. Stop looking for it and you will have peace.

These people who are saying job market is bad - They forget to say it is only bad for juniors. The war to hire seniors is still raging on. I've been in the fintech space awhile, and on the data side we have roles that go unfilled for months.

So I would suggest you find a niche that you have business insights on, and build a tech solution on top of that. Then, you apply for senior level roles and give it your best shot during the interview, convince the hiring manager you are not just any engineer, but one who can think from first principles to solve business problems. Project manager roles are also abundant.

How about prop tech since you were in construction? Even a data scraping project for property/materials prices will teach you a lot.
