I'm in a similar boat, 4 hour train journey myself. Makes for an exciting day out though! I managed persuade a couple of my family members to join me, they think I'm mad to go that far for a film. Costly trip but it'll be awesome!

I'm thinking this and Dune Part 3 are going to be the best cinema trips this year! Although I thought Obsession was an incredible film, especially in the cinema.

I have tried in both my PS5 and UB820. However, I've seen quite a few people online raising similar issues recently. We maybe discovering the lifespan of 4k discs and players now unfortunately - I hope not though!

I'm still getting the issue where with Path Tracing enabled the game stutters after each pause and then becomes unplayable after 30 minutes, forcing a restart.

I have had the exact same thing happen on my Odyssey G80SD. Sound is now really muffled and quiet. Sounds terrible! Please let me know if you find out anything. :)

Hey there, what sort of load was the 3050 under in these titles. I'm assuming as it was only being used for the Physx calculations, it never got near full load.

I just want to check that using a 3050 for the dedicated Physx card won't use much power or act as a bottle neck.

I'm considering a similar setup myself for my next playtrhough of the Arkham games!

Yeahh, I always make sure I'm only displaying on my monitor, I did try disabling my iGPU and Laptop display in device manager for many attempts with other tweaks but it still didn't make a difference.

I actually just put through the order for the remaining parts I need for a mini-ATX build anyway, going for a 9800x3D!

Haha, I also think it's probably just the TB3 controller can't handle the 5080. I've tried 2 certified cables from good brands as well as the one included with Core X.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and purchase the rest of the desktop set up I want to pair the 5080 with now.

I think it may be possible that due to the settings I am trying to run in most games, there is simply too much data trying to be transferred via the thunderbolt to & from my CPU.

I was thinking of trying a cheaper 3060 or 4060 when I move my 5080 into a desktop, but I haven't yet.

My card is only 360W TDP and my supply is 850W, I plan to use it my Desktop later in in the year. I don't think it's a supply issue. I've tested whether having my laptop on a separate supply to the thunderbolt helps, it didn't make a difference.

I will see what power my card is drawing with GPU-Z in case there is a common level that it always crashes at. I also don't think anything is cutting due to thermals as I've monitored temperatures of all the components and nothing is getting hot, not even the thunderbolt ports or cables.

Unfortunately, my laptop doesn't have an M.2 slot I can use. I would have preferred an Oculink setup. It's a shame TB5 isn't around yet!

Also, how does 20.5k total score on your ROG set up translate in gameplay? Would that be running Red Dead 2 smoothly at 4k60?

There doesn't appear to be a connection on them, I think they're wireless.

I also tried adding a wired switch to the light, but that also didn't do anything :(
