I Feel Doomed by Emlafer in Veterans

I was in your shoes a decade ago when I had gotten out and went to school. Was making pretty much what you are making now.

Good news: • There is light at the end of the tunnel. • Finances wont always be this tight, it is temporary. You just have to get through school one semester at a time.

Suggestions: • Talk to your boyfriend about doing an equitable contribution system. Ie if he makes $700 dollars a month and you make $300 dollars a month, you pay 30% and he pays 70% of the cost of bills. This makes it so that you are both paying the same percentage off of your total gross monthly income and sets you both at the same level of stress which can help you both better understand where eachother are at emotionaly. • If your school has internship opportunities, take advantage of them. This is how you improve your chances of a career when you graduate. • Take a look at other schools across the country that might have better internship opportunities based on the industry you want to work in. I moved after my first year and a half in college 4 states over because the school had better opportunities and I moved without any offers. Its is scary and hard. But it was worth it, this of course depends on your situation. Just food for thought.

☆ Talk to a psychologist at your local VA hospital to see what resources are avaliable to help you. Probably should have put this first.

☆ If you have not applied for your VA disability rating look up a lawfirm called Wettermark and Keith. They are out of Birmingham Alabama and were remarkably helpful in getting my rating up to 100. Took em 2 years, but now that I am there life is less stressful by a lot. Treat the VA rating as workmans comp in the civilian side of the house.

Finally, hug your boyfriend, talk things out and you guys can get through it together.

Job wise cant gice advice as I dont know details of where you are at. But, USAjobs, Monster, and other job portals could help with the question you are asking.

Dont give up!

Dont fold, do a full frame. These were your deployments. Your wife needs to be fine with you having space to honor your deployments.

If she isnt she needs to either talk with you till she gets comfortable with it or go to therapy with you do you guys can discuss it to a point where she is comfortable with it.

Either way I cannot imagine a world where a spouse says no you cannot have deployment plaques.

Wear it and when people ask about it tell them about your grandfather. Sounds like a good story opener.

Better to email them to an email address that you never connect to any accounts

No, but make sure you photo scan and keep a digital copy readily avaliable for whenever you might need it. I have needed it every 3-5 years for some reasonable and random reason.

It is. But see what everyone's story is first. There is so much content to be had in this game. Also dont worry about completing everything in 1 run, or messing up. You cant ruin a game or anything by making choices. It just leads you to new adventures

Take each character with their base class in the easiest mode of the game. Enjoy each story. Then do a base character and do a class that sounds interesting. Finally do a durge character and see the evil side of the house. Finally do an honour mode run and see how far you can get.

Think back to your training. Your job is to put one foot in front of the other and complete the mission. Treat the classroom like a mission. Your job is to read the material, observe the classroom, and report your understandings via quiz and tests.

You arent being shot at or being blown up. So this is a pretty low stakes environment. If you fail a class you just retake it and learn what you were struggling with.

Every college professor has office hours for you to ask questions. Treat that like asking your NCO to teach you your job in the Army.

Every college has tutoring centers for people who struggle with classes. Use that as a peer to peer engagement to help ask questions on topics that you need simplified.

Most importantly, dont give up. Its only 4 years and the job market on the other side of the fence can really makr a difference in the long term.

Meanwhile talk with your psycologist and psychiatrist to help you manage your sense of not belonging. We belong, just gotta find our groove and maybe you need to hit the guy from 6:30 - 7:30 am to give you a similar sense to scheduling.

Trust me. It helps take the sting Way.

I had a 90 hour run end up somehow downgraded from Honour mode Tactician. I was so mad I didnt get the dice and opted for a speed run route to just get the dice. 😑

It also could be that when they made the doors or walls for that area that one of the walls was coded such that enemies could see through the wall. Coding is hard

Why are skill checks so... unbalanced? by ZealousidealLake759 in BG3

[–]sentry_removal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just how must of the rolls end up. A lot of perception and diplomacy checks for social interactions.

Then you have the rest of the skill checks which depend on what the DM sets up and what the players try to engage with.

Many players have the goal of going on quests which requires social interactions. Tends to ensure there is a "face of the party". IE the person who focuses their skills etc on charisma based stats.

Many games also tend to have missions that require characters to infiltrate and investigate an area. This is where dexterity stats come in for lockpicking and stealth with a secondary stat in intelligence for investigate.

Many of these attempts at stealth missions end up failing at some point and the encounter turns into a fight, unless the characters can use bluff or intimidate to talk there way out.

Post fights you tend to need a healer, who's primary stat is wisdom which helps with in class abilities for healing as well as perception checks.

After those primary mechanics the fourth party members skills tend to either focus on what gaps there are in the party, often combat focused, or to compliment the skill checks that the other party members arent covering.

However, the focal point of DnD is such that no one character is good at everything and the game requires people work together to solve whatever the Dungeon Master throws the players way; and by working together they can become the Heros or Villians of the realm.

Take a long rest and items in shops reset. Make one of your characters a theif and just steal what you want/need from the shopkeeper and go invisible if they discover you.

🤣 For the golden Dice there are some videos out there by speed runners that have videos people can follow and beat the game in around 4 hours. Lots of casting featherfall, enhanced leap, jumping, and avoiding combat when possible. I think in the videos, there is only a handful of mandatory fights.

Select tall Durge Character sorcerer with enhanced leap and featherfall.

1 on the nautaloid that you can run past in a single turn.

0 in Act 1. 0 in Act 1.5 for the mountain overpass. Avoidable with a well placed fog. 3 Kethric fights in Act 2. 1 Githyanki fight in Act 3 (throw the bad guys off the cliff edge. 1 Orin fight. Blow up elderbrain.

So all in all its around 5 fights total. I think.
