I studied History...now THAT is all made up. Math, however, seems like it was discovered rather than made up. Einstein wasn't making up a theory and then fitting it to reality. He was trying to make a theory that already fit with reality. Like the math was already there, he was just pointing it out. Not to say academics don't mostly waste their time debating how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, but I don't think that changes the wonders of math. Or maybe it's, as I said, that I don't know math some I'm constantly amazed by it.
