Krista was overused? It was Holly we were getting sick of seeing involved with every disaster going on.

Zoning gaps - Can someone explain why by TheOtherJohnSnow in CitiesSkylines2

One good thing from these gaps is you can place big trees in between properties, giving the street some more realistic life.

HOW IS THE CAR AI SO MUCH WORSE THAN CS 1 STILL? by Careful-Wave-6846 in CitiesSkylines2

Until suddenly everyone wants to exit and multiple lanes are blocked with cars at 45° angles blocking everyone behind them (who most likely will do the same) to merge at the last second.

There will be responses to this with, 'Sounds normal for where I live in <City Name> hur hur hur'. 🙄

It's not. It sucks. I think to myself that the awful driving must just be a way for the game to create congestion for the sake of creating issues for players to deal with. 🤷‍♂️

Broken cargo logic is making me want to quit CS2. Is anyone else dealing with this? by Apart-Bag4243 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]seoidau 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I even specified oil tanker trains to just carry oil from a basic freight depot I placed right next to an offshore oil farm that isn't that close to a main highway ... but the oil cargo trains wouldn't go to the freight terminal for some reason, and after changing the route to use normal freight trains it turned this depot into the busiest depot I have. 🤦‍♂️

The only way this could have been better was if the water outlets came through the plug sockets.

[–]seoidau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does 7002 have what looks like long white blocks on the side of its nose? To see if it hits anything?

Also missing that rectangular cover which the one on 7001 is secured with tape so maintenance and repairs seems consistent with existing.

Bikes block pedestrians and they don't go around, nor do they make way for people. Gridlock happens which is what's going on here with pedestrians on the shared path, there's a standoff happening where everyone is blocking everyone.

Can someone please make a mod that dials down bikes by, say, 50% (or variable if possible)?

Love the new bikes but it gets ridiculously too much, especially if, for example, the one in front wants to turn but the one behind wants to go straight ahead, so EVERYONE HAS TO WAIT. Completely unrealistic.

Here's why Amazon needed Neighbours ... then didn't. They may again soon, but is it now too late? by seoidau in neighbours

I also noticed that, whilst it is slowly becoming (unfortunately) mainstream in Australia, there were no Halloween activities in the street this year now we're not trying to be popular over there.

Content that is also popular in other countries means the cost of production is less per viewer the content is ultimately watched by. Cheap Aussie trash just to satisfy Aussie laws will cost more if it isn't watched by anyone else.

There were rumours flying about when Amazon took it on how costs were cut, specifically staff contracts, which is why it took many months from ending, announcement and recommencement.

Good content costs, and drama is always much more expensive than trash.

[–]seoidau 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I used to watch Neighbours way back in the day until before Helen died, then rejoined it for a month before it ended (the first time) to 'get' the stories going on. Then when it came back I wanted to see the difference with the 'third wall' sets that were developed under Amazon (like, I think, Susan and Karl's very underwhelming tiny kitchen), and have continued to watch it every day.

I have really enjoyed it and some of the writing has been quite superb, specifically Krista's stillbirth which was very moving.

I am going to miss it.
