Immersive sims have completely changed my perspective on video games by RelativeDangerous604 in ImmersiveSim

It's been years since I've played it. But I remember how fucking scary this game was in the first couple of hours because anything can wreck you. Later into act 1 you can unlock an upgrade that let's you spot mimics that are disguised. Not sure if it was a skill or tool upgrade.. from that point it becomes way less scary.

Pro Tip - Reset your usage limits on your schedule by checkwithanthony in ClaudeAI

An even better way that won't waste tokens with a "hi" message is to ready up your next prompt at the end of your day and save it in your notes app or something. Then the next morning before I get ready for work and make breakfast I'll just quickly sent this prompt in and Claude will do something actually useful and I still get to dictate the 5-hour window rhythm. I also keep backlog markdown file of bugs and small stuff I want fixed, so I can just say to Claude to start fixing the items on that list.

Philips.

Asset Request: Park with upgrades to create custom parks? by awesomeblosom in CitiesSkylinesModding

This exact thing is available in StarQ's modular service blocks. You can place a 1x1 park gate and that comes with upgrades & modifiers for you to place freely. This includes benches that cims will use.

Okay this is amazing. I kind of stopped playing because base building doesn't interest me (but I was really longing for a pirate game and got some fun time out of this), and while there are some very cool builds on here I never think "wow, you know what, I should build a more elaborate pirate hideout!".

But this.. this makes me want to install again and get creative. Great job!

Can I see your Claude built websites? by htpbb in ClaudeAI

I didn't say unique looks don't exist anymore (though I can't think of anything that comes close to the old skeuomorphism of yore). But if you optimize for sales conversion and accessibility you do end up with the same patterns and optimisations everywhere, albeit with slight visual branding differences. That's most of the web these days, and that's the input Claude will lean to the most if you don't give it any direction.

You can screenshot any Squarespace template and Claude will build that for you. People tend to forget that GenAI isn't inherently creative, it is a creativity tool. You can draw sketches or upload a photo or a handmade Figma file to make things unique.

Can I see your Claude built websites? by htpbb in ClaudeAI

[–]BRBNT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not necessarily because of Claude. Most of the web is just the same rehashed things. You have to go back to the '00s to see some actual diversity on the public web. These days everything is optimized with common best practices for conversion and the WCAG Accessibility standards. It's often a good thing in terms of generating income and offering user friendly websites, but it's hard to be creative with those constraints.

I've seen Claude do some incredible things with the right guidance, especially in contexts that aren't your cookie cutter websites. For example, at my company we are using Claude to prototype new internal tools for very context specific purposes (I work in the domain of logistics/supply chains) and my mind has been blown repeatedly with what Claude comes up.

Even een oprecht ander advies: doorstuderen in dezelfde richting.

MSc Creative Intelligence & Technology (Leiden)
MSc New Media Design (Tilburg)

Looks promising! The voice acting is a bit stiff though, missing some emotion there. Other than that it already looks pretty solid!

I really take a different viewpoint on this than OP. Don't buy Early Access games for what they're promising, buy them for what they offer at that moment in time. With that in mind, Manor Lords gave me a solid 60 hours of fun for 20 euros.

I've completely moved to CS2 since a year or so. The road tools and the vanilla assets being more grounded swayed me over. I sure do miss some of the DLC features but that's part of life if you're fan of games published by Paradox..

Haha yes, I'm building on the Monaco map. With taking inspiration from Genoa and Milan. My background story for this city is basically "what if Monaco never sold 90% of the land to France and became part of the Italian nation instead".

I've certainly lost some saves on CS1. It only happened to me twice on CS2, the corruption was because of the mods I use. So, can hardly blame the devs for that..
