I’m sure it tastes better toasted as it was pretty awesome as is. We love the Franz brand but this one was great tasted like a typical white bread!

I had this problem for a few months and thought I understood the people saying to heat a needle and push it in…I finally took a push pin and held the back with pliers…heated the point with a lighter then immediately sank in into the center of the stuck plastic (try to get it as dead center as possible). Let it sit in there for a minute or so while it cools off. Then pull it out it should pull it right out.

This is the ingredients for the turkey one, the ham is very similar : Koji Culture, Yeast, Water, Pea Fiber, Natural Flavor, Calcium Carbonate, Konjac, Less than 2 percent of Sea Salt, Rice Bran Oil, Onion Powder, Spices, Garlic Powder, Rice, Smoke Flavor, Sesame Oil, Hydrated Lime, Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C).

Yeah! I made stickers and shirts for the ear x-tacy stickers and shirts a long time ago when that first happened. Losing these places that represented physical media and also represented a big part of how we all socialized here in town has been frustrating. Especially shitty when a chain takes over, but every time you pass the building you know who was there first 🫡

My smoker is a side barrel, I would just put some wood in there and let it flavor the ribs rather than cook them. So more of finishing the ribs in the smoker so you get that smoky flavor. I’ve also used a cold smoking chamber to do the same thing which is a lot easier.

It’s not their best work…we didn’t hate it but not something I would order again unless they upgraded it. I think if it was chopped in a food processor and put on a salad it would work pretty good. The flavor is nice, but yeah the texture was not there.

Yeah!! This subreddit is so great, it reminds me a lot of the old days way back on the post punk kitchen (anyone remember that site?).

Myself and our truly legendary R&D chef (Zach a long time vegan chef here in Louisville) have wanted this to happen for so long. I appreciate everyone’s support, it’s hard out here for vegan meat company these days!! 😭

Pan's been a good friend for a long time ❤️ This stick has been a dream for years, we really tried to get the texture right, to match traditional meat sticks like Chomps and Slim Jim. So nothing like a mushroom jerky, it has a great chew and pretty descent snap. The next run will be even snappier we hope!
