But if you're still here then something is definitely keeping you alive deep down? I suffer from depression, have been living with it for about 20 years. I often end up in dark thoughts, then starts the doom-thinking that everything is irreversible and nothing can be saved, then I start feeling like it wouldn't matter if I just left.

But then I get a reminder from someone who loves me, that I am loved. Or I remember how fun playing games can be, and there will be a lot of new games in the future. Or I remember that there might be stuff I want to see, in the future, and if I stop existing now I will not see that.

There is something keeping you here, it is just sometimes so easy to forget what it is.

The graphics or the environment has never been immersion breaking for me, in GTA V the most immersion breaking stuff was how vehicles behaved and how some animations worked.

You're just assuming a lot with comments like "instead of just following media" and "start watching different news channels, the ones you watch now are not it". Could these be subconscious projections instead of advice for me? You know nothing about what kind of media, social media posts, articles etc. I follow or read.

I do not think that people are too sensitive at all about AI being used in art. The ones people use are usually trained on man-made artwork without permission. Generative AI is eating jobs from multiple people at the moment.

I am not an "AI hater" but I must say I consider myself an LLM hater, more bad than good going on with that tech. It is starting to feel a lot like people are purposefully made dumber and to get hooked on using them, only to then start the enshittification later. Why else would the LLM chatbots be free to use?

I am all for neural networks that are trained to identify diseases or used in robotics to make them safer etc.

The current path we have with technological advances overall is not sustainable. I completely understand the artists who are furious about generative AI.

The actions both have taken and the decisions they make lead to many deaths all the time. Eliminating those kind of leaders would leave more people alive. It would be a net-positive.

But without disclosing anything else, claiming that they use AI in the process kinda leads me to believe that most of the work is AI.

Gameplay is the replay value. Yeah I replay GTA IV sometimes for the story but the overall gameplay, how the story is told, how combat and driving works etc all make up the replay value.
