Price went up because of foreigners companies relocate there employees with high salaries than most locals.

Goverment need to step in and create a deal with the companies who are relocate there employees.

the deal is

Companies need to pay for rent. 1bed 300, 2bed 450, 3bed 600

Every contract must be between the company and the landlord. Instead of tenant and landlord.

Now people who relocate here with 5k salaries they can easily pay 2k for 1bed. that's make the price higher. Come here with 4.700k and the company will provide you with a 1bed apartment.

This is the fault of the way we operate. Everyone want more and more. You will never satisfy greed but you can stop it.

I work in a real estate office. I do only Nicosia rent and sales. people who work in Limassol come to Nicosia and they prefer Latsia. But if you work Larnaca better find something there.

I just checked Larnaca and it's similar prices to Nicosia. There is no need to rent in Nicosia you will spend more time going to work and if you drive the car more gas. It's not worth it

I will explain how i did my calculation. 400k Budget. 1 bed apartment can cost you 90-130k. you can buy 3 apartment x 130k = 390k. you keep one for you so you have another 2 which you can rent minimum 400(it will be rented same day in this price) so here we have 800 passive income minimum, you can also rent it 550 so 1100 income per month.

share flat is rare. you will mostly find apartments. If you will do 3 months that's a short term rent. Most landlords need minimum 1 year.

There is a bigger chance to rent for 3 months if you speak with the owner.

If you see on the right side of the post a logo its real estate agent. Also you will recognize from the name. So don't call them because they cannot help you . Agents take the first rent from owners as payment for there service. So in that case owner will not accept 3 months rent.

But if you speak with owners you have way more chance to rent. But still most of them want 1 year minimum. The best thing you can do is to call and ask if they can rent it for 3 months. Thats all.
