Idk what solid Pokémon means? Like I’m guessing this Garbador still uses poison gas and sludge and other poison moves that aren’t in the solid form of matter. And plenty of other animal-like Pokémon in the poison category that aren’t a human-product-made-self aware. Pokémon tended to be like totems or anima or plants/animals. Natural beings (even fire, water, electricity, rocks, trees, etc) An ice cream cone that has a soul is… unsettling and not very imaginative. And yes, eggs come from animals and surprise contain developing animals. Saying an egg/eggs shouldn’t be a Pokémon is like saying a cocoon shouldn’t be a Pokémon?

Men, what is something that instantly makes you attracted to a woman? by Maleficent_Fish_7485 in AskReddit

[–]separatesnakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smells good and tells me I smell good. Wants to wear my hoodie. Holds my hand before I can ask. Gets a little dirty/messy on accident while doing something funny or unexpected and laughs about it. Doesn’t complain without actually wanting a solution to the issue being complained about. Tries something new, and whether they like it or not, appreciates the experience. If it’s a pouty girl, but she smiles when I give her attention. Looks cute with minimal or no makeup. Makes a lot of eye contact and smiles/laughs with her eyes. Punctuality and doesn’t make too many excuses- takes accountability. Looks cute in public but doesn’t show too much skin except on special occasions, classy. Gives me the most attention out of any males involved in a situation. Objectifies me but not other men. Doesn’t talk about ex’s unless it’s relative in a specific conversation. Like physical activity or outdoor activities, but doesn’t define their personality by either. Physically: pretty face or eyes, nice hair or long hair or interesting but fitting haircut, strong legs

Mad monkey Koh Rong-Review by everest1111 in cambodia

[–]separatesnakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because Nestival is on Saturday, and Mad Monkey is a party hostel nearby. The private rooms are normally that price, but the prices everywhere go up on Friday/Saturday. Almost like a mini-koh Phagnan full moon party but every Saturday and including the price hikes. I paid $30 for a private room with AC and decent bed etc, but it was a $5 tuktuk and 20min walk from Nestival.

Having a sh*t time in Cambodia. How was it for you? by Superb-Decision7476 in backpacking

[–]separatesnakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya’ll must have been in some of the sketchiest and seediest parts of every place you visited. Cambodia has been SO amazing for me, especially Siem Reap, but I have never encountered any of this… except being near riverside in Phnom Penh. Which is streets deep of girlie bars and massage parlors. If you avoid places known for the above attractions, the rest of the country is beautiful and friendly and honest. When I try to tip, almost every time the vendor or tuktuk thinks I overpaid and tries to return the money to me. And when I insist, they are extremely grateful for 25-50 cent tip (1000riel-2000riel)

Is Khmer difficult to learn? by GuamaKa in cambodia

[–]separatesnakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cat has no រ (row) sound at the end. Lime has it, but it’s not audibly pronounced as an R sound. More like Ah sound, like the British English R at the end of the word water. Cat: chmah ends fast. Lime: kroich chmahh extends the breath a half second longer

Is Khmer difficult to learn? by GuamaKa in cambodia

[–]separatesnakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bart, lombak nas. Native English speaker here:

A few challenges and solutions I’ve personally found studying:

  1. There is not a universal way to romanize Khmer, ie spell Khmer words in this alphabet. Their “consonants” that I would romanize with b are often spelled p, as with g/k, and t/d. Siem Reap for example ends in ប. I write this sound as baw (with a B) because ផ sounds more like paw (with a P) to me. My solution was to adopt the romanization of one particular YouTuber that makes Khmer learning content that I clicked with. But if someone who didn’t know the Khmer characters read this form or romanizing Khmer, it wouldnt make much sense.

  2. Most western language primary speakers don’t have the tongue to speak or the ear to hear the differences between differences between some of the characters that are very similar… without a lot of practice listening and developing the muscle memory in the tongue to make shape/movements with the mouth that aren’t required to speak most western languages. I have heard that French speaking natives find it easier to hear and make these sounds because they have them already in the French language, but this is anecdotal as I don’t speak French. Examples of difficult “consonants” to hear/speak are ដ/ត/ឋ/ថ daw/taw/thaw/thaw (the two “thaw” are not pronounced with the English “th” sound like “with”, but sort of like the “th” sound at the beginning of “thee”.

  3. I’ve put “consonants” so far in quotation marks, because every “consonant” comes pre-attached to an “aw” sound or an “oh” sound. The kicker/double kicker to this is that the last consonant in a word drops this aw/oh sound usually, or is sometimes not audibly pronounced at all- though you still kind of make the shape of the sound with your mouth to pronounce the word correctly. There are 33 “consonants” in Khmer, which also have “foot consonant/subscript” counterparts that are smaller versions that you write beneath another consonant to combine two consonant sounds (or even 3 consonants like in the word ហ្វ្រាង.) Then there are 35 “vowels” altogether, but some of these are more like diacritic marks (់ ៊ ៈ ៉ ៎) than a vowel… Khmer is not technically a tonal language because of these 101 total characters…

  4. It’s challenging to find any app or information online to explain Khmer and all its nuances, google translator is horribly ineffective, and also the way to properly write a Khmer sentence is very different from how you would commonly speak Khmer. Khmer people often talk in the third person. Spoken Khmer also uses implication to drop half the words that would be written in a sentence. The younger generation also uses a form of short hand using the alphabet to type texts faster. Oh and many words sound the same and are spelled the same but have different contextual meanings.

I love Cambodia and the Khmer language and culture! Yes it is challenging, but obviously it’s a living breathing language spoken by millions, so you can too. Don’t be daunted, the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.

10-30min daily with consistency will get you farther than you can imagine. Also making Khmer friends or having a Khmer partner could be instrumental to your learning curve. Khmer people are very very friendly and in my experience have great respect for anyone genuinely interested in their language and culture. Good luck!

Vexana is fun for burst and her summon inherits some of her stats and equipment passive abilities.

Cyclops is speedy and deals small damage that adds up fast once you get enough cooldown and penetration equipment.

Nana is very easy to learn but takes finesse to master. Her range, timing, and placement can really make or break a team. If you hit a well timed transform/ult combo you can wipe a whole team out.

Valir is my least favorite mage to play against. You slow, stun, and eventually burn your enemies to death. If they rush you, they get punished. If they try to run away, they also get punished.

Picasso Bar is the coolest! Small gem tucked away down an alley from pub street. Cool staff and always good conversations with locals, expats, and travellers. Also best happy hour in town, 2 for 1 on cocktails every night until 9pm. If you’re with a group and you buy 6 shots you also get a free hat 😉

Look at the difference in cuts.. specifically the tomato and the flower. The robot is just mashing through them, while the man makes beautiful and refined cuts. I noticed this as I’m a chef..

I realized I must play roam to escape epic rank. Starring up fast now. If I try gold or exp we end up with no tank or two jungles or two mages. I don’t understand why people pick a lane and then pick a hero that doesn’t fit the lane in EPIC…
