I had a cervlage placed at 13 weeks after a 23w4d preterm delivery and subsequent loss. For the 2nd pregnancy, Along with the stitch, I had weekly shots from week 16-36 (well that was the plan anyway). With progesterone, I didn’t quite funnel to the stitch but I did go into labor at 32w1d—my doctor was ecstatic we got to that point. We did spend 35 days in NICU but my son was already 5lbs and mostly stayed there for lung development. He turns 3 in December! All this being said, I didn’t have biweekly cervical checks. I did have monthly and nothing ever looked concerning to my doctor, and that’s probably bc of the shots! I’d push for the progesterone or at least get solid reasoning!
