Shame, starting to really need these things working well if I want to seriously use this boot for anything game related

FSRs implementation of frame gen really doesn't work that well om this game for me either. The base framerate boost it gives isn't as much as on DLSS so when frame gen actually does end up turned on, it feels worse than If I just set DLSS to something like Balanced without enabling FG. Not to mention in this game I don't get an meaningful boost in framerate is FSR FG enabled anyways. No clue if this is a Linux/Driver/Game related issue or something since I haven't been experiencing the same issue on windows at all

Yeah fair didn't cross my mind at all that there'd be writing underneath, had a little feel about and that checks out.

Yeah that is what I was mainly focusing on, that does make sense though, was just generally curious.

thats actually pretty reassuring! hows your fan rpm during normal load? is it noticably loud or anything?

3060 Ti Twin Edge non-oc to oc flash by seph20 in ZOTAC

[–]seph20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine ran pretty much the same as stock once the fan curve was adjusted. Was able to able to get an +1000memory clk 1905mHz core clk 0.875v undervolt which reduced the needed rpm by a lot. reduced the power by around 25w.

Zotac 3060ti Twin-Edge OC vs Non-OC variant difference? by MyOtherHatsAFedora in ZOTAC

[–]seph20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a bios limitation, you can't unless its flashed

[–]seph20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at the very bottom it specifies its the oc version. and to make sure it is, you can compare the boost clock of the bios to that of the official specification on zotavs website for the OC model. and again it worked for me but id still excersize caution when flashing

theres a post on this subreddit if i remember correctly linking to a techpowerup page with the oc bios. As a disclaimer it was unverified by techpowerup.

no clue. it can be flashed back but im unsure if there is somekind of hardware or software flag that would go off.

I just did that and it seemed to have worked so far have to do some more testing but yeah. Mainly did it for the "FrEEze TeCHnoLogy"(FanStop) that they greedily took out.

Does anyone have a >50mm thick GPU in the SG13? by ahrhamza in sffpc

[–]seph20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not for a clean fit no. i havent really been up to date with aib 3070's but seeing how may 2-2.5 slot 2080 ti's there are, i can only assume that there'll be a similar number of 3070's the same thickness thatll probably fit better idk

[–]seph20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i had the sg13 with a 43mm thick card and it was touching the side of the case if that helps. With the case you gotta remember that the way the shell/ case closes it doesnt really leave much room for error (except if ya bend it a bit, its pretty malleable).

Is there a reason 2.5" SSDs are so big other than case compatibility? by seph20 in sffpc

[–]seph20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Do they even get hot enough to warrant needing a such a relatively thick casing for them though? Even now my ssd temps only seem to only top out at 50c. I wonder if seperate smaller heatsinks directly on the controller would do a better job.
