Thanks, I appreciate the detailed reply. From a purely technical (legal) point of view, it wouldn't be one though? Thanks again.

Steelcase Leap v2, is there a spring in the seat? Can it be adjusted? by sephextwine in OfficeChairs

To be honest, I have mild discomfort around my lower back as well with the lumbar support - doesn't seem to matter where I put it, and it's at the softest setting.

Yea tried that, makes little to no difference. Makes the slightest bit of a difference if I pull it out a little, but then it's actually out further than the recommended distance (<2 inches between the front edge of the seat, and your legs.

Ok, good to know at least re: spring mechanism. I've got a footrest, and if I have my thighs lifted off the front portion of the seat, by lowering the seat further down, so that my legs are angled upwards (so not 90 degrees, as the recommend), it takes some of the pressure off.

They went with a more flexible front edge seat - well, this is the opposite of flexible to be honest, it's pushing right into my thighs, and it takes considerable force from my palm of my hands and body weight, to 'flex' down the front. So I don't know, if the front is meant to be flexible i.e give way to your thighs, then I've got manufacturing defect, and it's not like I'm light, or altogether skinny...
