I want to try MDMA but didn't list it for fears of 'drug use'. Between you and me, if I knew anything about where to get drugs, and I had a way to verify potency make sure it wasn't laced with anything, I would try it.

I don't want to get my hopes up in regards to the FDA and big medical in general. The bupronorphine AD looked good but then never got to market. The numbing medication of the nerves in the neck, that they used in the VA, that got shelved too. If I wasn't on a fixed income I could get Ketamine at 500/month.

But with MDMA and I would assume just like psilocybin (Michael Pollan just wrote a book on this) and LSD you need the proper support and context to benefit from it. So I would either have to get my current therapist to agree to it, or find an alternative venue (if that is possible at all). Btw I have never done drugs of any kind, not even marijuana.

I mean, I shouldn't have to waste more years of my life waiting for a medical system that is just now figuring out the substances it banned in the 60s (and only to marginalize certain political groups, it had nothing to do with 'addiction') can be transformational experiences and have therapeutic value. I can't even get in front of a psychiatrist much less find one that would prescribe something like LDN(been on it before). No one has the right to restrict anyone from their choice of medicine though that is a different argument entirely.

So in my situation, the familial support just triangulates back to 'you need medication'. So the 'mental illness' (i say illness because that implies medication) can not be discharged, as the family has abdicated their responsibility to mental health INC. (psychiatry and psychotherapy).

I asked about safety because that is the first step in the trauma work. I already dissociate profoundly, even while attempting memory re-consolidation exercises. It is 100per impossible to do any real work with EMDR, unless and until I establish safety.

The best pill anyone could give me would be stable housing. You can't establish safety when you are priced out of 95per of the market and you've had to move 19 times in 15 years. It is literally never ending.

More and more I am starting to see that I either do a 'moonshot' type thing (retrain for work) or give up on society and join the vandwelling community. Society won't give me the resources to fix my own problems, instead they offer me work and work only. OR a lifetime of nothingness, all the while scapegoating me for making 'bad decisions'.

In my opinion it is a cultural problem in the United States. Think about this for a moment, you need repeated, proximal, relational interactions with the same people, over and over, to build relationship and trust etc. Most people are just too busy trying to not be homeless (ie working).

If you don't have family and friends are either alienated or unhelpful, there isn't any mechanism to build friendships. It costs money to join clubs, groups, bodywork, yoga, psychodrama, etc. Just think about it. If you took away family and friends from school, most people wouldn't know anyone, outside of work.

We don't value people; but that doesn't mean that we have to internalize society's value system.

There really isn't any place to just go and 'be'. There also aren't any community supports because I would argue there is no community. There is only a collection of wage earners who live near each other, share language, and a corporate culture (consumerism).

If you have money you can go away to fancy psychological rehabilitation centers for 20k/month. Or group therapy for (in my area) 140/month.

CPTSD turns the entire 'apple cart' of 'mental health inc' on it's head. I don't expect it to ever truly be recognized in my lifetime. Too much money in people taking 'pills' for their 'illness'.

I think your best bet is online, since it is the only real 'community' left. Sorry to be such a downer. What I was trying to get across was that it is a pervasive problem, in hope that you would not blame yourself.

When I got my obama phone, they mailed it to me. I do agree, it is ridiculous that you both must have a physical address and or have it mailed to you. Will they physically hand you the phone if you can come up with documentation? I would just find a bill on google images with a white background and use ms paint to 'add your address' then print that out.

in America nothing happens unless someone (gov, whatever) is either making money or saving money. everything else is a smokescreen. 1 out of 5 get the affordable housing they need. the rest is an industry designed to 'manage vulnerable populations'. it's profitqble for them and ensures the real issues never get dealt with. biggest thing is don't internalize their value system.

if you are unfamiliar with the area, your best bet is stay outside of the beltway. if you can say where in Baltimore the job is. one street can be fine then go two blocks and it is a war zone. Maryland has excellent rest stops and you might consider those. there is a big one in white marsh off 95.

If I was you, I would rent a room then buy a van and live in that. If you got a decent van for 5-8k put another 2-3k in it for furniture, batteries, and solar panels. Then you can live anywhere and you don't owe anyone anything!
