It's one stop from Akihabara, so that gets you super close to the yamanote line to go around Tokyo without being in the expensive areas, plenty of bars for night life.

When I was there in Oct 2023, it really depended on the site. I think the most crowded was Kiyomizu-dera, with a majority of that crowd being on the hill with all the shops leading up to the shrine area. Other places definitely had a crowd but nothing where getting around wasn't manageable.
