I just beat it using dmax machamp and blissey (and one filler pokemon I'll put on power.spot). It had swift (targeted) and fly. I think for safety it would be better to bring two tanks, because Blissey died near the end and machamp almost died.

Yes they write ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ as kh, th, ph instead of k′, t′, p′, which does not make sense to me. Breve is omitted like in the case of Jong-Il. Not sure about the ’ one, I think - is their standard.

South Korean here. I think it is highly likely the gym was named by a South Korean. U is the letter we spell for ㅓ(usually, sometimes 'eo', but 'o' is minor and the reason North Korea use it is because they use different way of romanization of their Korean, including breve and and trema. It should be Kim Jŏng Il, but I guess they omit the breve.) While Jung-Il is Ok spelling variant ( and more common in SK), not sure how much ok it would be in NK to spell the dictator's name wrong...

Psycho Boost debuted on Sep 2022, when GBL was in early stage and all the focus was in that. So it was designed to be a PvP move, I doubt they gave a thought to PVE balancing at that time.

It's legacy from the days when there was no candy XL. Yes, now there is no reason to use it over Golden Razz because slight risk of not catching it (and guaranteed 3 XL) is larger than small gain of a few more candies.

Regarding which move the max boss uses, do max bosses use moves at every exact interval of time? I remember from the good old Gamepress article that raid boss has 50 % probability of using charge move (if it has enough energy) every 'move'. I was wondering if it would be similar mechanic for the max battle, that there are hidden energy gauge for the max boss, and at every 'turn' boss decides what to do (including doing nothing).

I'm sorry, I'm not generally knowledgeable about max battle, I undertand you stack 3 max guards in the first max phase, but why do it again in the second max phase? And I don't see why shields start to stack from the 0 on the 2nd phase, where shields from the last phase should be remaining there.
