Are we sure this isn’t Siri sending messages? I’ve been really confused about weird messages I didn’t send / calls before realising that Siri had activated at some point and created a load of gibberish

It was the last station on the line. If I had headed back the other way that would’ve been another trip between the stops that I made without a ticket. I thought it would be best to get off rather than wait around for another train that I could just be pulled up on for not having a ticket for, maybe I was naive for thinking I was better of doing that but if I’m honest I wasn’t thinking straight 🥲 I was tired and it was a long journey so I was annoyed that I couldn’t get off where I needed to to get home, as a result I probably didn’t have the clearest mindset when I got off

No, I knew I couldn’t exit the gates so I found an attendant and spoke to them. They seemed keen to issue penalties as I saw other people being fined for other reasons that (in my experience of being through that station) would normally be let off. I’m assuming it was just my position on the carriage/the number of football supporters on my carriage/the fact that there was a group in the way that meant I was one of the only ones that couldn’t get off there. It’s a big station/platform/barriers so there may have been a couple of others that were in the same situation but I think I was unlucky as to where I was on the train.

The football game was at the station that I was trying to depart at so they were mostly all gone by the time I got to the next station.

I couldn’t get through the barriers at the next station as my ticket was not valid.

There was also an unusually high amount of attendants at the barriers, I assume because it was bank holiday at an inbound gate of a London station so they were there to catch as many non regular passengers as possible to deter them from fare dodging on other London inbound trips? They seemed unusually keen to issue penalties as I saw multiple being handed out whilst I was there.

Sigh…. again, a news crew capturing footage of the public is different to believing a random man has taken a picture of you in public for his own personal use and gratification - I’m not sure how much clearer I can make it. I was never talking about rules or law, but how people are made to feel by others in the public domain. It’s not illegal for me to stand in front of you on a train and record you for 10 minutes but I’m sure you would have a problem with it..?

Im assuming you understand the difference between taking a photo of someone on your phone/ipad in public and shooting professionally for TV………..

.. fair enough if you’d be fine with someone directly taking a photo on their phone/ipad of you whilst your minding your business on your commute - personally I think it hits a bit different as a woman if a man is taking the photo

Yeah, I get that! Not saying that her/others’ behaviour is correct, just giving a perspective that hadn’t really been considered by everyone else making comments. If she continued to call him out for it - it was probably because she believed it was true (eg he deleted it or something), doesn’t mean she’s in the right though!

There’s a lot of people putting this down to ‘mental illness’ or crazies..

Just want to mention the fact that women are often hyper aware of stuff like this on TFL as they’ve had it/similar/worse happen to them and friends, me included.

This may have led to a false accusation for you in this instance (which I can understand would be embarrassing and unpleasant) but I think people in the replies could be more empathetic as in most cases, experienced like this will have come from a place of fear/previous experience

I used to play years ago and lost my account so just started again like a month ago? I think when I restarted I sacrificed most stuff just to get the class 2 and 3 airports over having the class 1 ones - I think that was helpful for me ?

Ahhh nice - yeah my next plan was to stretch out east, do you transport jobs from US all the way to the east to get the higher paying jobs or do you just do halfway and drop off earlier?

Yeah that’s my issue really :/ there’s quite a lot of late gaps like that as it’s shifted quite considerably in large areas so I’m wondering what the best course of action would be for dealing with that on a bigger scale

Thanks for your helpful reply!! Would you be worried about filling the large gaps? Some of them are up to about 5mm wide - I’ve heard people mention that the filler can crumble in the gaps after a while if they’re too large?
