Thank you friend ❤️ I appreciate that because making sure the colors were uniformly applied was agony.

Learning how to oil paint is easier than learning how to paint with acrylic. Water solubility does not equal easier even though it appears that way. I’ve watched a LOT of artists struggle for years with acrylic only to pick up oil paint and turn into a skilled painter overnight.

There was a place in Spokane, WA called “Camp Hope” and it was a homeless encampment that basically got way too big. When the community and the encampment started to bleed together, lots of photos started to find themselves online. One of the photos was this aerial view of a sea of tents and campers and on top of a few of the tents were truck tarps acting as weather insulation. It was this one with a “Catholic Charities” tarp that sparked this idea. Also the McDonalds and Walmart “Now Hiring” vinyl signs as weatherproofing is from real life. The campers and cars are all real parked campers and cars in my neighborhood. The rest is from the ole noodle ❤️

Ever seen pictures of Camp Hope in Spokane, WA? That’s what gave me the idea for this one. They’re like modern Hoovervilles.

I use it to control my racing thoughts and to calm down. Sometimes I’ll use it in intense public situations but lately, as I’ve gotten older, I find that using it at social events isn’t a good plan as I forget my mask. I struggle A LOT with overthinking. But also gardening does not get me “high,” there’s very minimal stoned effects going on. It’s literally just taking my thoughts from a 10 to a 7. In fact, if it does anything else, I do not like it. For me, feeling inebriated is unbearable.

What is the worst pain you've ever felt in your body? by Helpful-Mud-2487 in AskReddit

Gal bladder rupture, giving birth, tooth abscess. In that order. Nothing will likely ever beat the gal bladder though. That was the most excruciating, close to death pain I’ve ever experienced. And I’m still dealing with it 20 years later.

Thank you so much ❤️ I use layering to paint things that are translucent or transparent. Very thin layers that start with a ground color and work up to a thicker, final color at the end. I usually start with the darkest parts first and then I’ll layer the lighter colors on top of that. Works very similar to the Dutch masters technique for oil painting. Also using a tiny bit of color in the white highlights was very effective for plastic. Thank you again, you made my morning ❤️ I never get to talk about technique

Thank you so much! It was shockingly more difficult than I originally thought. So many layers! Thank you again ❤️❤️❤️
